    • An image forming method, including a step of using an image forming apparatus to form an image on a photothermographic material comprising, on at least one surface of a support, at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent, and a binder, wherein the method satisfies one of the following conditions: 1) the reducing agent is a bisphenol compound which has at a meso-position a substituent with ring structure or a substituent having an unsaturated bond, and a line speed of thermal development is 20 mm/sec or higher; 2) the reducing agent is a bisphenol compound which has at a meso-position a substituent with ring structure or a substituent having an unsaturated bond, and thermal development is carried out within 15 minutes after the image forming apparatus is activated; or 3) the photothermographic material comprises an organic polyhalogen compound having a specific structure, and thermal development is carried out within 15 minutes after the image forming apparatus is activated.
