    • An archer's silent running roller guide is taught. The roller guide Is rendered silent by providing a v-shaped arrow guide wherein the v-shape is formed by the outer perimeters of two low inertia silent running roller bearings with a sound-muffling material wrapping the outer perimeter of the bearings. The v-shaped guide acting in cooperation with a coil spring serves to respond to the forces of displacement present at the instant the arrow is launched and to return the guide to its original position after the arrow is gone.

    • An arrow rest assembly for use with a compound bow, the compound bow having a riser, a bowstring, and a tuning cable and a cable guide having a pulley receiving the tuning cable, so that when the bowstring is drawn, the tuning cable moves downwardly without moving rearwardly, and when the bowstring is released the tuning cable moves upwardly without moving forwardly. The arrow rest assembly includes a first arm pivotally attached to the riser; a second arm connected to the first arm, the second arm receiving an arrow rest; a third arm pivotally attached to the first arm, the third arm having a first end adjacent the first arm and a second end; and a cable attachment at the second end of the third arm, the cable attachment securely attached to the tuning cable. Movement of the bowstring away from the riser causes the third arm to move downwardly and forwardly, in turn causing the first arm to pivot upwardly on the riser thereby lifting the second arm and arrow rest upwardly, and release of the bowstring causes the third arm to move upwardly and rearwardly, in turn causing the first arm to pivot downwardly on the riser thereby rapidly lowering the second arm and the arrow rest downwardly.

    • A connector for adjustably mounting a limb of a compound archery bow to a riser of the bow has a connector, a first washer with a sliding surface and a guide surface complementary to and received against the sliding surface and permitting the first washer to pivot in substantially any direction relative to the connector. In assembly, a threaded shank of the connector is received in a threaded blind bore in the riser and a head of the connector traps the first washer against the limb. The connector may be loosened or backed out of the riser to permit adjustment of the orientation of the limb relative to t he riser to thereby adjust the draw weight of the bow. As the orientation of the limb is changed, the orientation of the first washer relative to the connector is likewise changed without changing the orientation of the connector to limit the bending or lateral forces applied to the connector and prevent it from being sheared or otherwise failing. Preferably, an insert which defines the guide surface is disposed within a recessed sliding surface of the washer between the washer and the head of the connector and is complementarily shaped to the recess to permit angular or pivotal movement of the first washer relative to the connector in substantially any direction.

    • A hunting bow hanger in the form of a cylindrical shaft of substantially the same length and diameter as a hunting arrow, having self-starting wood screw threads on one end, and a hook that includes a crank portion on the other end. The crank is used to turn the shaft manually to screw the threads into a tree trunk. To prevent bending of the shaft under load, a cable tether is provided that spans from the hook end of the shaft diagonally upward to an anchor higher on the tree trunk. The anchor has self-starting wood screw threads and a crank portion for tool-less threading into the tree trunk. The cable is attached to the hanger shaft near the hook end, and has a free end with a loop that slips over a retention portion of the anchor crank. This provides a sturdy bow hanger that is carried in the quiver in place of one of the arrows.

    • A bow limb mounting system for adjustably mounting a limb inner end of a bow limb to a riser mounting surface of a bow riser of an archery bow, with the limb inner end pivoting relative to the bow riser about a limb pivot axis. The pivot movement is produced by an adjustable strut assembly which varies an attachment angle between the limb inner end and the riser mounting surface, while restraining lateral movement between the two. The adjustable strut assembly has upper head and neck portions which connect to the limb inner end in a close toleranced manner, and an alignment block portion below the neck portion which is slidably and matingly seated in a cavity located below the mounting surface also in a close toleranced manner. A bolt extends through a central hole formed by the head, neck and alignment block portions and connects to a pivot pin, such that adjusting the bolt changes the distance between the limb inner end and the pivot pin to thereby change the attachment angle.

    • The invention relates to an archery bow having a handle with a longitudinal axis and first and second handle ends. The bow also has an upper limb and a lower limb extending generally in a direction along the longitudinal axis. Each limb has first and second edges defining a limb width, a limb thickness, a proximal end, a distal end, and a working region between the proximal and distal ends of each limb. The first and second handle ends are attached to each limb at the respective proximal end of each limb. The proximal end of each limb has a proximal width and the distal end of each limb has a distal width. Each limb further has a concave surface extending generally between the first and second edges. Each concave surface has an opening and first and second transition points located at opposing sides of the opening of the concave surface. There is a transverse width defined by a distance between the transition points, which transverse width is substantially unchanged when the bow is drawn to a full draw position as compared to when the bow is in an undrawn position. The concave surface(s) can instead be a convex surface(s) in various forms of the present invention.
