    • The friction dry clutch is intended for transport and other machines and is mostly used in the machinebuilding and transport sectors. Its structure is simplified, with less weight and smaller dimensions and enables the replacement of its gradually wearing-out parts to be done without dismantling of the whole unit "engine-clutch-gearbox" from the machine, without detaching the clutch from the engine and the gearbox and without dismantling the clutch. It comprises a guiding shaft (7), guided shaft (12), friction disc (14), jacket (3) and casing (11) connected with a casing (1) of an engine, and with a casing (21) of a gearbox, where the guiding shaft (7) is connected with a guiding cogwheel (9), and the guided shaft (12) is connected with a guided cogwheel (13). The guiding cogwheel (9) and the guided cogwheel (13) are simultaneously clutched with a few satellite cogwheels (2) which are on bearings in the jacket (3). On its part jacket (3) is simultaneously on bearings upon the guiding shaft (7) and the guided shaft (12) and it is connected with the friction disc (14) which is in contact with cover plates (36) of at least one brake device (33) that is mounted on the casing (11). The guided shaft (12) can be connected with a second friction disc (20) which is to be in contact with cover plates (36) of at least a second brake device (18) that should be mounted upon the casing (11).

    • The present invention relates to ring brake arrangements (5) and in particular to an effective arrangement for cooling of the brake. Heat is effectively transferred from the ring braking member (30) to a fanned hub arrangement (10) which transfers the heat energy to an axial air flow (70) which is pumped through the center of the brake. In addition heat is transferred to the brake caliper support bracket (41) from the brake caliper (40). The brake caliper support bracket (41) is located across the air flow (70) which serves to cool the same. This structure is particularly well suited for high brake demand requirements where heat build up causes problems or reduces braking efficiency. The brake can also be used to assist braking of trucks where the brake is located on the drive shaft. The brake is effective for most vehicle applications.
