The locus of the end cross-sections of the outlet sections (8) of the channels (3) is a surface of revolution (10).

    • Flow control device (10) which includes a housing (18) having a plate or partition (24) oriented generally transverse to the fluid flow direction. The partition (24) has a central opening (30) and a plurality of flow passages (26) disposed in a circular array about the opening (30).     • The aim of the disclosed device for influencing the flow of a fluid medium is to stimulate regulated hydrodynamic cavitation, for the purpose of heating the medium and/or dispersion into said medium of solid and liquid materials, for example. The device comprises an axisymmetric circulating channel for pumping over the main stream of the fluid medium, as well as an aperture in the channel wall used to admit agitating jets into the main stream and to stimulate hydrodynamic cavitation.
