    • In a rotary pump in which axial end surfaces of outer and inner rotors is in pressurized direct contact with an axial end surface of a second side plate to form a mechanical sealing, both of the axial end surfaces of the outer and inner rotors and the axial end surface of the second side plate are provided with radial line grinding stripes. Teeth gap portions formed by the outer and inner rotors in mesh communicate with an outer circumference gap between the circumference of the outer rotor and inner circumference of a center plate and also with a shaft hole of the inner rotor through extremely slight gaps formed by concave and convex of the radial line grinding stripes so that contact surface between the outer and inner rotors and the second side plate is well lubricated to reduce torque loss.

    • A gerotor pump is provided that includes a pump housing having a pump cover and a pump end plate. The pump cover defines an open end, an axial bore, and a bottom end. The pump end plate engages the open end of the pump cover thereby enclosing the axial bore of the pump cover and creating an inner cylindrical chamber in the pump housing. A wear plate and a gerotor gear set assembly are operatively disposed within the inner cylindrical chamber such that the gerotor gear set assembly is operatively disposed between the wear plate and the pump end plate. A biasing member is disposed between the bottom end of the pump cover and the wear plate, and is adapted to operatively bias the wear plate against the gerotor gear set assembly and the pump end to create an axial zero tolerance condition between the pump elements.

    • A Roots pump rotates a plurality of rotors by a pair of rotary shafts to draw gas. Each rotary shaft extends through a rear housing member of the Roots pump. An annular shaft seal is fitted around each rotary shaft and is received in a recess formed in the rear housing member. A helical groove is formed in a circumferential side of each rotary shaft. Each helical groove urges oil between the circumferential side of the associated shaft seal and the circumferential wall of the recess to move from a side corresponding to pump chambers toward a gear accommodating chamber when the associated rotary shaft rotates. This preferably prevents oil from leaking to the pump chambers.

    • A sanitary design gear pump in which two gear shaft bearing blocks constitute hand removable structural end bodies of the pump. The gear shaft bearing journals extend completely through the blocks for easy cleaning and are sealed by O-rings retained by simple clamp plates. Gear cavity bore extends only the length of the largest gears, among interchangeable gear sizes. Bearing block to gear cavity seals are located at the ends of the gear bore to eliminate entrapment zones, minimal intrusion of the bearing blocks into the gear cavity allowing a large pump operating temperature range. Shaft seals of many different types can be contained in a simple hand removable cartridge. Complete pump disassembly is by one manually operated tee-handled clamp fastener. The drive and driven gear shafts are of different diameters to aid and assure correct assembly. The assembled pump slides into a pump mount with integral tie rods sealing the pump and securing it to the mount. The mount foot is reverse of the body, allowing the pump ports orientation to be selected at 90null intervals by a pin and groove engagement of the pump body and mount. The pump mount allows repeated pump removal without loss of pump-drive alignment. The drive gear shaft is splined to allow free pump removal from its mount and drive to pump disassembly without need to remove a shaft coupling. Pump displacement can be altered, requiring only interchange of gears and the drive end bearing block. The pump design meets the requirements of the 3-A Sanitary Standard 02-09 as promulgated by the 3-A Sanitary Standards Symbol Administrative Council.
