摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the number of manhours and absorb axial vibration of a holder. SOLUTION: A power unit is composed of an engine, a transmitting case 41, and a cover member 46. A starter 13 arranged on the engine has a starter motor 61 mounted on the transmitting case 41, a support shaft 63 rotated interlockingly with the starter motor 61, and a pinion 65 which can be axially moved on the support shaft 63, meshed with a ring gear 11 arranged on a crank shaft 12 of the engine upon being moved for transmitting the rotation of the support shaft 63 to the ring gear 11. One end of the support shaft 63 is rotatably arranged on the transmitting case 41, while the other end is rotatably arranged on a holder 68 held by an inner wall of the cover member 46. An elastic member 69 is sandwiched between the holder 68 and the cover member 46. The elastic member 69 is fitted to the holder 68 or the cover member 46.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of knocking during a start and acceleration period by setting a larger retarded degree during the start and acceleration period when an engine is accelerated from an off-state, than a retarded degree during a normal acceleration period when the engine is accelerated from an on-state. SOLUTION: An ignition timing correction section during acceleration 204 is in an ignition knocking control section of a main control system 160. It informs a standard ignition timing determined at a reference ignition timing determination section 207 to an ignition control system 161 when a vehicle is judged not to be in an acceleration state from outputs from a speed judgement section 201, acceleration judgement section 205 and water temperature judgement section 206. On the other hand, when engine speed is in a middle range, acceleration operation is performed, and water temperature exceeds a predetermined value, while control is in a 'start/idling SW mode', the ignition timing is, for example, retarded to seven degrees (advance angle) irrespectively of the determined standard ignition timing. When the acceleration operation is performed in a 'stop and start mode', the ignition timing is retarded to zero degree.

In the case of start, when the grip 61 is operated and the throttle opening is opened, a stator magnet switch 63 is conducted, a starting and power generating device 250 is driven as a stator motor, starting is carried out, a signal is outputted to a NOR circuit 71 of an ignition stopping means 70, a transistor 73 is conducted, an ignition plug 206 is ignited, and then the internal combustion engine is started. When rotating speed of a crank shaft 201 exceeds a prescribed rotating speed, feed toward the power generator 250 is stopped.

SOLUTION: A by-starter main unit part 10 is constituted of a by-starter valve, skip mechanism 12 and a valve drive part 13, an annular groove 15 is provided in the periphery of the by-starter valve, and, when a fine opening is obtained just before the by-starter valve fully closes a by-starter passage 3, a pawl 24 provided in a skip arm 20 of the skip mechanism 12 is engaged with the annular groove 15, and movement of the by-starter valve is temporarily stopped. Thereafter, a holder collar 32 constituting the valve drive part 13 is lowered down, a tip end 27 of the skip arm 20 is pressed by a bottom part 33 of this collar, so as to disengage the pawl 24 from the annular groove 15, the by-starter valve is suddenly lowered down, and the by-starter passage 3 is quickly fully closed.
