    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic type work machine capable of efficiently and surely operating a large-sized work device by supplying hydraulic oil from an external large-output hydraulic unit.SOLUTION: The hydraulic type work machine includes an external hydraulic unit connected to a work machine body having a hydraulic work device. The work machine body includes: an internal hydraulic unit; an operation control part for controlling the hydraulic work device; an internal control valve for controlling flow of hydraulic oil from the internal hydraulic unit; a hydraulic oil supply route switching part for switching the hydraulic oil to be supplied to the work device; a hydraulic unit changeover switch; and an operation signal output part for transmitting operation signals transmitted from the operation control part to the internal control valve to the external hydraulic unit. The external hydraulic unit includes: operation signal relay means for operating an external control valve on the basis of the operation signals from the operation signal output part; and flow rate adjustment means for setting a discharge amount during idling of the external hydraulic unit to be equal to a discharge amount during idling of the internal hydraulic unit.

    • Disclosed is an impact generation tool used to deliver a large downhole impact force. The impact generator may include a housing having an uphole end and a downhole end and defining a chamber therein between the uphole and downhole ends, a mandrel movably arranged at least partially within the chamber between an engaged configuration and a disengaged configuration, a top sub coupled to the housing at the uphole end and having an upper core extension arranged at least partially therein, the upper core extension being configured to move between a fixed position, whereby the mandrel is maintained in the engaged configuration, and an unfixed position, whereby the mandrel is able to move to the disengaged configuration, and an impact tool coupled to a distal end of the mandrel and being configured to deliver an impact force to a downhole obstruction when the mandrel is moved to the disengaged configuration.
