    • A ventilator for installation in a garage door. It preferably fits in place of a standard garage door panel or into the panel. The ventilator includes a frame fitting into the door in place of a panel. The ventilator has openable and closeable louver slats exposed to the outside of the door and operated by a crank located on the inside of the door for adjustment of the louver slats to the desired position. A screen of appropriate mesh is installed on the frame on the inside of the garage, covering the inside such that insects may not enter the garage when the louver slats of the ventilator are open. The ventilator is preferably made of aluminum or other metal and is of sufficiently robust construction as to deter forcible intrusion, particularly when the ventilator is closed.

    • An improved hopper vent is provided which includes many novel features. The hopper vent includes a removable sash window that is removable from the interior side of the hopper vent. The removable sash window is spring loaded into the frame of the hopper vent and is injection molded for easy manufacture. The hopper vent also includes a removable screen which is also removable from the interior side of the hopper vent. The hopper vent also includes a pivot system to allow the removable sash window to pivot open instead of rotating open like in previous, hinge-based systems. Also, the hopper vent includes a dam system which prevents water from draining to the interior of the hopper vent. The dam system includes a front riser to prevent water from draining to the interior of the hopper vent and a drain, such as weep holes or a gap between the frame and the screen of the hopper vent, to allow water to drain to the exterior of the hopper vent. The removable sash window of the hopper vent is also fixedly positionable at a plurality of different openings.

In one embodiment of a flexible control cord system moves the shade between open and closed positions, with the control cord system being conveniently positioned adjacent the frame for easy manipulation. In a second embodiment a finger slide on the frame drives a cord lift system for moving the covering between open and closed positions.

    • This invention relates to a curtain and blind carrying system which permits curtains and blinds to be hung from conventional vertical blind systems both simultaneously and separately. Provided is a track, a plurality of carriers slidably mounted for movement along the track, a plurality of glides, namely one per carrier, detachably securable to each carrier so as to extend downwardly therefrom, each glide including at least one curtain accepter, such as a female portion to receive a males portion of a male-female snap fastener assembly, and further including a vertical vane accepter, such as a clip portion extending downwardly therefrom for accepting the upper portion of a vertical vane. A curtain having a plurality of male portions of male-female snap fastener assemblies evenly spaced longitudinally, and adjacent an upper edge of the curtain is attached by inserting its male portions into the female portions on the glide. The upper edge of vertical vanes may be inserted into the clip.

    • An aluminum window frame construction which includes: an outer frame having a header, a sill and first and second jambs. At least one sash frame assembly is mounted in the outer frame, including a top portion, a bottom portion and first and second side portions. The frame is formed with radiused corners to enhance strength and such that a sight-line of about 2¾ inches is created at a top of the window frame construction when the top portion of the sash frame assembly is positioned in abutment with the header. A sight-line of about 3⅜ inches is created at a bottom of the window frame construction when the bottom portion of the sash frame assembly is positioned in abutment with the sill, and a sight-line of about 2⅜ inches to about 2¾ inches is created on at least one side of the window frame construction when one of the first and second side portions of the sash frame assembly is positioned in abutment with one of the first and second jambs.
