    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid opening/closing mechanism of a simple storage cabinet, which always inhibits the operator from pulling a key out of a key section when a lid portion of the simple storage cabinet is opened.
      SOLUTION: The lid opening/closing mechanism of the simple storage cabinet can open/close the lid portion 3 which horizontally slides on a casing of the storage cabinet to open/close the same by the key C. A key section 2 employs a disk tumbler lock which has installed therein a vertically moving mechanism having a moving member 262 for transforming turning of the key C into vertical motion, and having built therein a spring for returning to a key withdrawable/insertable location. Further the lid opening/closing mechanism is composed of: a key rotation inhibiting mechanism operable when the lid portion 3 is opened and the moving member 262 is moved, for inserting a blocking member to a location in a moving passage of the moving member 262, at which the key C is inhibited from returning to the key withdrawable/insertable location; and a key pulling prevention mechanism which retreats the blocking member in the moving passage to a standby location by pressing force by which the lid portion 3 is moved, only when the lid portion 3 is completely closed, and returns the blocking member to the key withdrawable/insertable location, to thereby prevent the key at the key section 2 from being pulled when the lid portion 3 is opened.

    • A cabinet includes a locking mechanism which prevents removal of a key unless the cabinet door is properly closed and a prescribed item is properly positioned and stored within the cabinet. In a preferred embodiment, the cabinet door assembly includes a hinge which is slotted so as to accept a rotatable cam of the locking mechanism to prevent hinge movement in the locked position. The stored item has a magnet secured thereto which, when properly positioned in the cabinet, pulls a spring biased magnetized bar into a position wherein a slotted extension of the bar permits the cam to pass into the hinge slot. With the item improperly positioned or removed, the slotted bar extension prevents rotation of the lock by blocking passage of the cam into the hinge slot. The key and lock combination are standard items of the type which prevent key removal from the lock unless the lock is turned to the locked position.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a locking device which prevents the handle with a lock from rotating and the key from drawing off the lock while the door is opened. CONSTITUTION:An engaging means 11 held on the door 1 between a latch 8 and the door is capable of expanding and contracting in the parallel direction to a handle shaft 4 due to its own resiliency and having an engaging part 15 for engaging an enlarged through hole 10 of the latch 8 when expanded. A projection 16 arranged inside a box member 2 is brought into contact with the means 11 as contracted and provided with a head part 17 which can pass only the hole 10 and a neck part 18 which can pass also a through hole 9. When the handle shaft 4 is turned and the engaging part 15 engages the through hole 10, the shaft 4 stops turning and the door can be opened. If the door is moved in the closing direction in this state, the means 11 and the projection 16 are brought into contact so that the means 11 contracts against its own resiliency. Then the hole 10 is moved part the head part 17 to the neck part 18, thereby enabling the shaft 4 to turn and, hence, the door to close.
