    • A method and a device designed to apply coatings, heat being used to weld or melt material layers which overlap each other. According to the invention infrared lamps (23) are used as the heat source and at least two blowers (11, 16) are used to meet the large cooling requirements and are disposed in the ends (4 and 5 respectively) of a longitudinal house (2) (one blower in each end) and designed to feed along the upper side of a reflector body (20) cooling air streams towards the central area of the device, an intense cooling of said central area being done, particularly around a recess (8) between the two house ends, in which also a manipulation handle (6) having a circuit-breaker (7) is disposed. The air is forcedly guided in order to pass the base plate (35) of the reflector body (20), mainly in its central area, and to flow from there in mutually opposite directions between the base plate and a reflector sheet as well as subsequently to flow along the front side of the device and back to the central area between the lamps and the protective glass (25), which shields the lamps forwards or downwards, and around its longitudinal edges and inwards towards the longitudinal central area of the protective glass and outwards towards the environment.

    • The invention refers to a waterproofing membrane for roofing comprising at least one water and moisture impervious first sub-layer of bitumen or like material and a second sub-layer which is applied over the first sub-layer. The second sub-layer is comprised of granules of plastic and/or elastomeric material being bonded to the first sub-layer, wherein the waterproofing membrane by means of said granule layer has an essentially fully maintenance-free and environmentally-friendly non-dusting surface structure like a conventional slate-crush bitumen surface. The granules are preferably ground fractions having a flaky form. The granule length is at most 4 mm and preferably within an interval of 0.15-2 mm. The granules may be comprised of integrated recovered plastic and/or elastomeric materials, for example recovered from rejected automotive tires.
