    • A reversible percussive action device comprising, inside its casing (1), a reciprocating impulse member (4) and being provided with a system of distribution of a fluid medium which drives, under the working pressure, the impulse member (4) under the operational conditions of forward and back movements. The system further includes a control element (9) intended for controlling the distribution of the fluid medium in both operational conditions that element being movably connected with the impulse member (4) and being provided with means for its fixation, in relation to the casing (1), in two controlling positions corresponding to both operational conditions. The fixation means of element (9) in a position providing for the forward movement of the device are constructed as a body (11) movable in relation to the control element (9). The body (11) is so oriented that a part of its surface is subjected to the influence of the fluid medium under the action of which it engages, in one of its positions, into mesh with the casing (1) thus fixing the control element (9) in the axial direction in relation to the casing (1) and, in the other position, provides for mobility of the control element (9) in relation to the casing (1) when switching the device to its back movement operation rational conditions.
