摘要： The latices are made from natural or S-vulcanisable synthetic rubber latices contg. dispersed S and ZnO, a S-contg. vulcanisation accelerator in dispersion or soln. an anionic surface active agent, tetrasodium or tetrapotassium pyrophosphate and an amine with low volatility, such that the amine is added before the ZnO and the pyrophosphate before the filler. The systems are esp. useful for making latex foam sheets 0.25-1.0 cm thick, by beating the latex compsn. into a foam, spreading on a surface, heating with infra red heaters to gel the surface and completing the cure at 80-160 degrees C. Good foams are obtd. without the use of thickening agents or excessive amts. of surface active agents, and the prods. have good strength and stability under moist conditions and uniformity of structure.

摘要： Gelification sensitisers for use in preparation of foamed rubbers from latices consisting of a condensation product, mol. wt. 500-100,000., of:- (1) H(HNCnH2n)2.NH2, where n = an integer, pref. 1-3, x = 0 or an integer pref. 0.6, with (2) an C1-5, pref. C2-3, aliphatic hydrocarbon compound, contng. at least two separate groups reactive to amines, at least one of which is a halogen atom, in the molar ratio from 0.5:1 to 3.5:1, pref. 1:1 to 3:1. (1) may be NH3, ethylene diamine, propylene diamine, diethylene triamine, etc. and (2) include 1,2-dichloro-ethane, 1,3-dichloropropane, 1,4-dichloro-butane, the corresponding Br derivs.; epichlorhydrin, alpha-dichlorhydrin, etc. A particularly useful product is obtained by condensing NH3 with 1,2-dichlor-ethane, in substantially equimolar proportions, to a mol. wt. of 500-1000.
