摘要： A winding mechanism retains a sheet material in a state in which the sheet material can be pulled out. The winding mechanism includes a flexible sheet material, a winding shaft attached to one end of the sheet material, a force application device that always applies a force to the winding shaft in a normal direction in which the sheet material is wound around the winding shaft, and a braking device that applies a braking force to the winding shaft only in the normal direction. In other words, the winding mechanism applies an appropriate braking force to the winding shaft when the sheet material is wound, but does not apply a braking force to the winding shaft when the sheet material is pulled out.

摘要： A cable drive unit for opening and closing a sliding door on a vehicle (not shown) has a cup-shaped front drum having a helical front cable groove and a rear cup-shaped drum having a helical rear cable groove. The front drum is rotated about a longitudinal axis in a first direction to open the sliding door. The rear drum is partially nested in the front drum and rotated about the longitudinal axis in an opposite direction to close the sliding door. The front drum and the rear drum are drivingly connected to each other via a tension spring that biases the front drum and the rear drum in opposite directions when in tension. The front and rear drums are rotated by a concentric clutch that is nested in the rear drum. The clutch includes a drive member that is drivingly connected to the front drum via a first lost motion connection and drivingly connected to the rear drum via a second lost motion connection. The first drum has an arcuate slot forming part of the first lost motion connection, the rear drum has an arcuate slot forming part of the second lost motion connection, and the drive member has a tab that projects through both arcuate slots to form part of the first lost motion connection and part of the second lost motion connection.

Further, the use of gears permits the same movement of the crank, which causes hose to be collected, causes a hose guide to move laterally, along the axis of the reel, such that hose is neatly layered onto the reel.

The friction element is made of an elastic material. The friction element includes an inverse U-shaped base and a protruding contact pad extending up from the base portion to press against the outer edge of the wheel. Consequently, the wheel can be stopped in any desired position by the friction element, and the degree to which the canopy can be expanded is controlled. The reel support is a resin mold, and it comprises a support stage having a reel post and blades integrally connected to and standing upright from the support stage.
