    • An improved carton for packaging a plurality of multiple articles having a chime formed on one end thereof. The improved carton has a series of spacing means or ribs formed on at least one of the panels of the carton with the spacing means serving to abut a portion of the chimes of the multiple articles packaged within the carton. The spacing means serve to protect the exterior portion of the carton from becoming disfigured by the chimes of the multiple articles packaged within making circular indentations on the interior face and coming through to the exterior portion of the carton whenever several cartons are stacked on top of each other. The spacing means utilized serves to separate a major portion of the chimes from coming in contact with the underside of the panel thereby providing a much improved appearance of the advertising matter printed on the exterior of the package which is important to the sale of the package contents. The spacing means forming the ribbed carton may be formed in the preferred embodiment by a series of scorelines formed on the exterior face of at least one of the panels of the carton, and the scorelines may be formed in various patterns as desired by the customer and may also be formed in more than one panel of the carton, dependent upon the positioning of the cans in the carton and the types of cans that are to be packaged by the carton.

    • A shipping wrapper for an aquarium, the aquarium having a bottom, a front wall, a rear wall, and end walls interconnected to form an enclosure, the front, rear and end walls having an overlapping rim on the top edges. The wrapper has a bottom panel, end wall panels, and end wall rim panels hingedly connected together along fold lines and positioned generally adjacent corresponding portions of the aquarium. End flaps are hingedly connected to the end wall rim panels, the end flaps each having outwardly extending end tabs with locking edges. The end flaps are folded into the aquarium so that the locking edges of the end tabs are captured beneath the overlapping rim on the top edges of the front and rear walls of the aquarium.

    • A method and article for protecting a container that contains a fluid. The method includes the steps of: (a) providing a container (12) that holds a fluid and that has first and second ends, a side, and a length; (b) providing a conformable nonwoven web (13, 13') that contains at least 5 weight percent microfibers based on the weight of fibrous material in the nonwoven web, the conformable nonwoven web having a length in at least one dimension that is substantially greater than the length of the container; and (c) wrapping the conformable nonwoven web at least one full turn about the container such that (i) the container forms an axis about which the web is wrapped and (ii) first and second portions of the nonwoven web project axially from the first and second ends of the container. The article includes a conformable sleeve (10) having a tubular body (11) that has an opening (16) sized to permit a container (12) to enter the interior of the conformable sleeve. A nonwoven web (13, 13') containing microfibers is employed in the tubular body of the sleeve to protect the container and sorb fluid which would leak from the container in the event of a failure.
