摘要： A box (200) for solid and semi-solid food products is formed from a blank and has a body portion, a base portion and a lid portion, the lid portion having a tear-away strip for opening the sealed box. Side panels (22) of the body portion have overlapping end flaps (34, 38) which lie across the top of the body portion and have crease lines (46) running substantially parallel to the fold line which separates the flaps from their respective panels. The creased regions are pushed inwards towards their respective panels and the non-creased region of each flap lies substantially perpendicular to the side panels to form a suspended surface. This surface may support a spoon (S) or other item and is covered by the overlapping end flaps (54, 56) on the front and rear panels of the body portion; thereby allowing the item to be sold with the food product as a single unit but without contacting the food product.

摘要： An enclosed carton for carrying a number of containers, such as cans, which is easily convertible into a tray with a lid, from which the cans can be easily removed. The tray is formed by a zipper with two tear lines that are formed in the adjoining bottom flaps of the carton. The carton may have a carrying handle for carrying the carton loaded with containers. This carton is especially designed to be easily convertible into a tray for holding cans between two closely spaced shelves in a refrigerator. Provision is made for the easy removal of the lid. Another embodiment of this invention discloses an enclosed carton with diamond shaped corners so that the carton can be tightly packed and which is also convertible into a tray.

The package includes a front wall, a rear wall opposing the front wall, a pair of opposing side walls, a bottom wall and a top wall opposing the bottom wall. A seal wall is contiguous with the top wall and extends from a juncture of the top wall and the seal wall. The seal wall has an edge that is opposite the juncture. The seal wall is sealed to the front wall at an exterior surface of the front wall. At least one line of weakness is formed in the top wall, extending from the seal wall at the edge into the top wall. The line of weakness defines a cover portion of the top wall. The cover portion is formed from a portion of the seal wall and a portion of the top wall. When the top wall and seal wall are separated along the line of weakness, the cover portion is separable from the package to define an open area for accessing the interior storage space of the package. A blank for the package is also disclosed.
