摘要： The invention concerns a bottle crate with parallel rows of compartments containing centering elements, each compartment being intended to hold one bottle. In order to ensure that the crate design allows the lables on the bottles to be seen, enables the bottles to be inserted in the correct storage position and prevents the bottles from rotating significantly about their vertical axis, the invention proposes that the crate side walls are designed in the form of frames and that the bottles are plastic bottles (2) with walls which are cylindrical or jut out slightly (3) near the bottom of the bottle. The centering elements consist of a first bottle-holding strip (7) facing inwards at the edge (6) of the bottom of each compartment and a second bottle-holding strip (9) on the opposite wall (8) of the compartment, the first strip (7) holding the bottle (2), when it is inserted, near the zone where it juts out (3) and the second strip (9) holding the bottle (2) in an area of the wall (5) above the zone where it juts out (3).

摘要： The stackable low depth bottle case (10) of the present invention includes four side walls (12) and a bottom portion (20). A plurality of upwardly projecting hollow columns (30) extend upwardly within the side walls (12). The columns (30), walls (12), and bottom portion (20) define a plurality of bottle retaining pockets (32). The bottle retaining pockets (32) have flat surfaces to permit retention of bottles without base indentations and to permit rotation of petaloid bottles. The columns (30) extend upwardly from the base portion (20) a distance approximately one third of the height of the bottles to be retained. The columns (30) may be hollow to permit empty cases to stack top to bottom. The lower surface (24) of the bottom portion (20) has circular concave portions with central retaining openings to facilitate stacking of loaded cases top to bottom. When a case (10) is disposed on a lower filled case, the bottle tops of the lower case are guided toward the central retaining openings by the circular concave portions.
