摘要： An apparatus for counting and packing solid foods comprising a table device for holding the solid foods to be counted and packed, plural vacuum nozzles, a flexible vacuum pad, and adsorption confirmation sensors. The apparatus also includes an arm holding the vacuum nozzles. The vacuum nozzles are displaceable in horizontally in a right and left direction and in a vertically up and down directions. The vacuum nozzles are configured to adsorb and convey the solid foods from the table to a packing device. A vacuum breaking channel is used to cease adsorption by compressed air.

摘要： A system for automatically packaging prescription orders composed of one or more prescription containers. The system includes a printer for generating literature associated with each order and a packer for packing the prescription containers and the associated literature into a package. The packer has a scale or other means for determining the weight of the prescription containers. A packer controller calculates package weight information based on the container weight information. The package weight information is transmitted to a mail manifest system, which generates shipping information comprising postage. A labeler applies the shipping information to the package. The packer also includes a loading mechanism for inserting the prescription containers and the literature into the package.

摘要： The present invention relates to a disposable conveyor for use with an apparatus handling contamination-sensitive discrete items. The conveyor has at least one cavity, each cavity capable to carry at least one discrete item. The conveyor is adapted to be mounted on the contamination-sensitive apparatus that, in operation, is capable to impart movement to the conveyor for displacing the conveyor, and its cavities, along a predetermined path. The present invention also relates to a method for transporting discrete items in a machine performing production runs with different types of contamination-sensitive discrete items. The method involves installing a conveyor as described above on the machine and using it to perform a first production run with a first type of discrete items. The conveyor is then disposed of and a new conveyor installed on the machine, used to perform a second production run with a second type of discrete items, different from the first type.
