The operating devices control the felling, trimming and cutting devices, as well as the movements of the forestry machine. The operating devices are disposed discrete and separate from the forestry machine so that the working environment of the operator is free of the turnings, jolts and vibrations which the forestry machine is subjected to during operation. Preferably, the operator and the operating devices are placed in a load-carrying vehicle on which the forestry machine loads the felled trees. A system for forest felling includes a felling unit and an operating module. The operating module is disposed discrete and separate from the felling unit. Preferably, the operating module is disposed in a load-carrying vehicle which receives felled trees from the felling unit.

    • The present invention discloses a modular pivotal hinge comprising a pivotal shaft, a rotating bracket, a base, elastic means, and a buffering means. The pivotal shaft comprises an axle. The rotating bracket comprises a mounting part for fixation to a second member, and a rotating part for coupling to the axle and allowing said rotating bracket to pivot around said axle. The base comprises a mounting part for fixation to the first member and a slot constructed in a way to allow the axle to be inserted and secured therein. The elastic means provides a spring force to urge the second member to pivot away from the first member. The buffering means comprises a head for contacting the axle and a buffer structure elastically biasing against the head toward the axle.

    • Accurately measuring the payload weight of dump trucks, especially off highway trucks, is important to efficient operation of most applications, such as in the mining industry. An under-loaded truck decreases efficiency in a known manner. In addition, over-loading a truck can decrease efficiency in the long run by such things as shortening truck component life due to excessive wear, such as on the drive train. The present invention seeks a more accurate payload measurement by positioning the dump body between its travel position and its dumping position. In the payload measuring position, the dump body is supported at four points, which are preferably pins equipped with shear strain gauges. After measuring the payload weight, the dump body is returned to its travel position for transport.

    • A work vehicle is provided for conveying an agricultural product via a movable member or tube to an adjacent product receiving bin. The movable member is controllable to swing back and forth accurately over the bin under precise operator control to enable the bin to be nulltopped offnull. An auger or other conveyer device is used to feed product into the movable member. The vehicle's control system includes an extend switch and a retract switch which operate in a latched first mode when the conveyer device is not actuated. In the latched first mode, the extend or retract switches are pressed once to start the swinging motion of the movable member and are pressed a second time to stop the swinging motion. However, when the conveyer device is turned on to feed product into the movable member, the vehicle's control system switches to an unlatched second mode. In the unlatched second mode, the operator presses the extend or retract switch and the corresponding swinging motion commences upon such contact. However, the extend or retract motion ceases when the operator ceases contacting the corresponding switch. The unlatched second mode provides the operator with substantially improved control of the back and forth swinging motion of the movable member above the receiving bin when product is flowing through the movable member while the bin is being nulltopped offnull.
