    • A method of fabricating a silicon rubber-based mold includes the first step of making a master model of products to be formed, and a jig. The master model is mounted onto the jig, and a lower pad is formed on the master model. A plurality of round bars are inserted onto the lower pad. A lower frame is made by injecting a backing material onto the lower pad. The lower pad and the round bars are removed while leaving out an empty space and silicon injection paths there. Silicon rubber is injected into the empty space via the silicon injection paths to form a lower silicon layer, thereby completing a lower half mold. The lower half mold is then overturned. The jig is separated from the master model, and an upper pad is formed on the master model. A plurality of round bars are inserted onto the upper pad. An upper frame is made by injecting a backing material onto the upper pad. The upper pad and the round bars are removed while leaving out an empty space and silicon injection paths there. Silicon rubber is injected into the empty space to form an upper silicon layer, thereby completing an upper half mold.

    • A method is provided for manufacturing molded simulated stone and wood architectural articles for buildings and homes. The method incorporates a unique mold assembly including a resilient silicone rubber mold supported within a rigid mold cradle/foundation, and a vented lid having a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) interior surface. The silicone rubber mold is initially treated with a liquid polyester gel coating that is cured and then coated with an acrylic/vinyl ester back coating. Once the back coating is cured, a predetermined volume of a modified high-density, natural mineral fiber-reinforced, 2-component hybrid polyurethane liquid expanding composition is dispensed therein and the mold is covered with the vented lid. The system is pressurized and heated to produce a molecularly-fused, lightweight rigid article having the desired architectural shape.

    • The invention relates to the process of forming a customized saddle tree mold to be used in turn as a model to make or select a saddle tree. The method or process involves the steps of warming a thermoplastic sheet to a pliable condition, applying the panel to the saddle area of a equine, while pliable, applying pressure against the outside of the panel to force the panel against the horse to change the shape of the panel to closely and accurately conform to the shape of the equine in the saddle area, allowing the panel to cool and harden in that shape so that it may be used in turn as a form or mold to shape or select a saddle tree for that equine, which saddle tree being shaped to the form will accurately and closely conform to the shape of that equine in the saddle area.

    • A process and apparatus for casting three-dimensional parts and investment models from a class of fluid casting compounds, which are solidified by a reaction triggered by actinic radiation. The casting compound hardens in a chain reaction induced by the radiation and/or the casting compound acts as a conduit for the radiation during and after curing. This allows parts being cast to be solidified within molds that are opaque. The apparatus consists of a solidifying actinic radiation source positioned to trigger the chain reaction as the casting compound enters the mold and/or radiate into the mold cavity through the sprue hole, windows or venting holes to effect the curing process. The curing, or solidifying, process is accelerated by irradiating the compound as it flows into the mold cavity.
