摘要： An apparatus for filling a screw (7) bearingly supported within a housing (6), in particular of an extruder, for processing of pre-comminuted synthetic plastics material, in particular PET, has a filling opening (5) for the screw housing (6). This filling opening (5) is in flow connection with the lower outflow opening (4) of an upright receptacle 81) for the material to be processed. Within the receptacle (1), tools (30, 31) circulate around a, preferably vertical, axis, which tool act onto the material positioned within the receptacle (1). This material is introduced into the evacuable receptacle (1) through a sluice (60). A quickly circulating tool (30) for creating a mixing cone (71) is disposed between an upper interior portion (68) and a lower interior portion (69) of the receptacle (1). Within the lower interior portion (69) that constitutes a dwell space for the heated plastics material that has reached it for thermal homogenization thereof, also circulating tools (31) are disposed, which, however, are mere mixing tools without substantial introduction of power, so that within this dwell space an agglomeration of the plastics material is avoided.

摘要： The invention concerns a continuous manufacturing method which consists in producing a blank (E) by extrusion, bringing said blank to a temperature for molecular orientation, passing said blank around a radial expansion mandrel ( 12 ); gauging and cooling while subjecting the blank to axial traction. The radial expansion produced on the mandrel ( 12 ) is partial so that the internal diameter (B) of the blank (E), when it leaves the mandrel, is less than the nominal internal diameter (D) of the finished tube; performing an additional radial expansion of the blank, up to its nominal diameter, by internal fluid pressure. In permanent operating conditions, the inner surface of the blank (E) is no longer in contact with the mandrel ( 12 ).

摘要： An apparatus for producing plastic hollow bodies using an extrusion blow molding process has an extrusion unit, which is mounted in a housing, and at least one blow molding station. The extrusion unit has an extruder and an extruder head, connected to the extruder, with at least one extrusion nozzle. The longitudinal extent of the extruder defines a longitudinal direction of the apparatus. The blow molding station has a blow molding table with at least one molding tool, which is provided with an opening disposed on the side of the molding tool toward the extrusion nozzle. The blow molding table is movable on a lateral path, extending essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, from a terminal position laterally of the extruder head into a position beneath the extruder head and back again, in order to make the extrusion nozzle and the opening of the molding tool coincide vertically with one another. The extrusion unit is supported vertically and laterally pivotably in the housing and is displaceable in the longitudinal direction.

摘要： An improved blown film extrusion apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes an annular die for extruding a film tube. At least one tube position transducer is provided and located adjacent to the extruded film tube. The tube position transducer transmits interrogating pulses to the extruded film tube and produces a position signal corresponding to a detected position under the extruded film tube. A bubble position control system is provided for receiving and processing the position signal. A valve is provided for varying a quantity of air within the extruded film tube in response to the bubble position control means. This urges the extruded film tube to a desired position. The apparatus further includes a collapsing frame assembly for receiving the extruded film tube and collapsing it. The collapsing frame assembly includes several frame boards. Typically, two opposing main boards and two opposing side boards are provided. A position transducer is provided for detecting the position of at least one of the frame boards. Preferably, this is a non-contact sensor. At least one board position actuator is provided for adjusting the position of at least one of the boards. Typically, the actuator is an electric motor. A board control system is provided for receiving the board position information from the board position transducer and for providing control signals to the board position actuator to maintain at least one of the boards in a predetermined position.

摘要： A process for forming a rod of bioabsorbable polymeric material includes extruding the material at a temperature above its melting point at a controlled rate of between 0.4 to 20 feet per minute to form a continuous rod. The continuous rod is then cooled by passing the rod through a cooling bath to cause nucleation. The continuous rod is passed through a first puller running at least at the same speed as the extruder. A second puller is provided which is moving faster than the first puller so that the continuous rod is elongated at a ratio of between 2 and 12 times. During this elongation, the rod is heated to a temperature of between 55null C. and 140null C. in an oven located between the first and second pullers. The rod is annealed at a temperature of between 70null C. and 110null C. after being elongated but prior to exiting the second puller. Upon exiting the second puller, the tension in the rod is released and the continuous rod is then allowed to cool. A cutting station is then provided to cut the continuous rod into desired lengths.
