摘要： A thick-film electric heater having thick-film layers applied directly on a thermally conductive non-flat substrate. Preferably, the substrate is cylindrically shaped. A dielectric layer is silk-screened on the substrate surface. A resistive layer is silk-screened on the dielectric layer to form a circuit for the generation of heat. The resistive layer has at least one resistive trace in a pattern that is discontinuous circumferentially. At least a pair of silk-screened contact pads are applied in electrical communication with the resistive layer for electrical connection to a power source. An insulation layer is applied over the resistive layer.

The injection molding apparatus may includes at least a partially transparent nozzle or may include a thermally conductive nozzle having a nozzle body and a nozzle channel that receives a fluid material at an inlet. The fluid material has a pressure induced flow causing the fluid material to flow along an axis of the nozzle channel from the inlet to an outlet. A radiant energy heating device heats the nozzle channel to maintain the fluid material in a fluid state.

摘要： Disclosed is a manifold of an injection molding machine. The manifold of the present invention has a groove formed on a top surface of the manifold, into which a heating wire is inserted. Protrusions are formed on both sides of an upper end of the groove and are projected from the top surface of the manifold. The protrusions fix the heating wire in such a manner that the heating wire is inserted into the groove and then the protrusions are press-fitted into the inside of the groove by pressing means such as a press or a hammer.

The heater is thermally connected to the nozzle body for heating melt in the nozzle body melt passage. The first gap seal surface is positioned on a structure that is connected at least indirectly to the nozzle body. The first gap seal surface is adapted to be separated by a gap with respect to a second gap seal surface on the mold component. The gap is sized to inhibit the flow of melt between the first gap seal surface and the second gap seal surface.

摘要： An injection molding apparatus has a manifold and a plurality of first and second adjustable manifold blocks. The second manifold blocks are in fluid communication and are directly connected to a hot runner nozzle. The second manifold blocks are coupled to the first manifold blocks via connector devices. These connector devices contain a melt channel and allow the second manifold blocks and therefore the hot runner nozzles to be rotated relative to the first manifold blocks around at least two axes. This allows the nozzles to be positioned in front of mold gates that are located at variable elevations with respect to the manifold.
