    • A multifunctional tool includes a main body including a connecting end with a socket. A rigid tube has a first end securely and releasably engaged with the socket of the main body. A first hose is telescopically received in the rigid tube and has an end extendible out of a second end of the rigid tube. A second hose is telescopically received in the first hose and has an end extendible out of the first hose. A magnetic member is attached to the end of the second hose for attracting and thus removing a screw from a place difficult to access. The rigid tube can be detached from the main body, and the second hose is then securely and removably held by the main body. A bit carrier carrying a number of bits is pivotally mounted to the main body and pivotable between a storage position inside the main body and an exposed position outside the main body, thereby allowing the user to choose the proper bit.

    • A device which contains a combination of a writing implement, stylus, or turning tool on one end and a turning tool rod on the other. The device contains a hollow casing, a forward end tip containing a central passageway for extension and retraction of a forward work piece and a rearward tip containing a central passageway for extension and retraction of a turning tool rod. The forward work piece is reversible and contains a writing point or a turning tool. The turning tool rod is reversible and contains a turning tool at each end. One device contains a single extension/extraction slot having forward, medial, and rearward openings or notches. In this alternative, the device contains actuator guide pins or latch pins which allow only the forward work piece, only the tool rod, or neither of these to be extended at any one time. Alternatively, the device contains forward and rearward extension/retraction slots, each having forward and rearward openings or notches. The forward and rearward actuator guide pins or latch pins allow independent control of the forward work piece and rearward tool rod. In another alternative, there is a rearward slot having forward, medial, and rearward openings or notches and a forward slot containing forward, intermediate and rearward positions. This alternative allows for the easy extension of a work piece holder for the reversing of the holder to use the stylus which is at its rearward end while providing for independent control of the forward work piece and rearward turning tool.

    • A drill adapter includes an elongate support holder and a generally elongate member fixed to one axial end of the support holder configured to be secured in a chuck of a drill to rotate the support holder. A reversible bit carrying member supports the drill bit at one end and a driver bit at the other end, and is receivable within the support holder. A magnet, formed of a permanently magnetized material having a high energy product, preferably equal to at least 7.0×106 gauss-oersteds, which may be in the form of a pill magnet embedded within the support holder or may be in the form of a sleeve of magnetizable material, surrounds at least an axial end portion of the support holder proximate to the end of the support holder that supports the driver bit in its operative position. The driver bit becomes a part of the resulting magnetic circuit of the magnet and at least some of the resulting magnetic field passes through the driver bit to at least partially shunt the magnetic field to magnetize the driver bit, and the adapter can be used to initially drill a pilot hole with the driver bit and thereafter drive a fastener into the pilot hole by means of the driver bit that becomes magnetized as soon as it is inserted into the support holder of the drill adapter.
