摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and reliable detoxicating method and its device eliminating the need of an excessive investment. SOLUTION: Waste is mixed in a mixing tank 1 to make it biomass, then the biomass is sent to a mill 6 and is pulverized till the proper particle size is obtained. The pulverized biomass is stored temporarily in an intermediate storage 7 and then, the biomass is supplied and returned to the emptied and washed mixing tank 1. In this way, the detoxication of the biomass is caused in the mixing tank 1. In the mixing tank 1, the biomass is heated and stirred to detoxicate any pathogens and seeds of weeds. The detoxicated biomass is supplied to a digestion chamber for the further treatment.

摘要： A process is disclosed for immobilizing environmentally noxious organic, particularly aromatic, substances by absorbing them on a layered clay mineral modified by exchange with a quaternary ammonium compound, thereby increasing the spacing between the layers and rendering the adsorption surfaces hydrophobic.After adsorption of the organic compounds the spacing between the layers of the layered clay mineral is reduced by a layer spacing reducing agent, and subsequently the clay mineral containing the organic compounds is mixed with a hardenable inorganic binder and the whole is hardened.A typical example of a modifying agent is a quanternary ammonium compound, and of a layer spacing reducing agent an alkaline substance, such as sodium hydroxide.Typical clay minerals are chosen among the smectite minerals, tectosilicates and phyllosilicates; preferably montmorillonite clay is used.The inorganic binder may be a calcium hydroxide compound or a calcium containing cement, preferably containing fly ash.

For this purpose this container concept is designed as a double-walled system, consisting of an inner container (2) as a casing for the waste and an outer container (1) as a protective container, with an air space as an inspection and working chamber (4) between the two. The inner container (2) is designed in such a way that it can be visually, mechanically, chemically and/or biologically checked, repaired and renewed completely and on all sides at any time while full.

摘要： Novel composition and methods for neutralization and solidification of hazardous acidic spills. A dry particulate composition of varying reaction grades of alkaline compounds and varying grades of absorptive materials may be used to neutralize and solidify acidic spills, solidify the spills and render them harmless. These compositions may be applied to the spills by fire-extinguisher-like delivery devices which spread the compositions on the spills from a relatively safe distance without splattering the hazardous material.
