摘要： Methods and systems for separating a desublimatable compound from hydrocarbons is disclosed. A feed fluid stream, consisting of a hydrocarbon and a desublimatable compound, is passed into an upper chamber of a vessel. The feed fluid stream is cooled in the upper chamber, thereby desublimating a portion of the desublimatable compound out of the feed liquid stream to form a product gas stream and a desublimatable compound snow which is collected in the lower chamber of the vessel. A lower portion of the desublimatable compound snow is melted to form a liquid desublimatable compound stream such that an upper portion of the solid desublimatable compound snow remains as an insulative barrier between the upper chamber and the liquid desublimatable compound stream. Ore liquid desublimatable compound stream is removed at a rate that matches a production rate of the solid desublimatable compound snow, thereby maintaining the insulative barrier.

摘要： Systems and methods to separate carbon dioxide from flue gases and sequester carbon dioxide are described here. By using the properties of carbon dioxide and the temperature in a body of water (e.g., the ocean or freshwater body of water) or the temperatures of the ambient atmosphere, gaseous carbon dioxide can be converted to a liquid and separated from other gases. Pressure used to separate carbon dioxide from other gases may also be used to sequester liquid carbon dioxide. The liquid carbon dioxide is inert and can be discharged into the ocean without dissolving in seawater and acidifying the ocean. The liquid carbon dioxide may further be densified to be denser than seawater. The liquid carbon dioxide can then sink to the bottom of the ocean or be injected into ocean sediments or sediments and rocks beneath the ocean floor, inert and sequestered for the long term.

摘要： Described herein are membrane processes for separating CO2 from flue gas. An exemplary process involves passing a fluid stream including the flue gas across a membrane permeable to CO2 and H2O, removing treated gas from a feed side of the membrane that has less CO2 than the flue gas, and removing permeate from a permeate side of the membrane comprising CO2 and H2O. Suitably, the permeate is removed at a sub-atmospheric vacuum pressure. The permeate is then cooled to remove at least some of the H2O from the permeate and form a smaller volume of H2O-depleted, CO2 enriched permeate.

The device consists of six main parts: the air suction device, the mercury condensing tank, the burning tank, and the gas purification tank associated with the combustion, the cooling water lifting motor, the outer hull of the device. The device works in a way to place the gold amalgam with the mercury accompanying it inside the fire pot in the device and exposing it to a high temperature up to the temperature of the evaporation of mercury. Then, the device passes the mercury vapor by condensing processes in the burner as a first stage and then to another stage of condensation carried out in the main condensation tank, and then the gases associated with the burning process are passed to a special tank that filters the gases and releases them pure into the toxin-free atmosphere.

摘要： In a cooling system, an inner vessel contains a first cryogen. A cold head maintains the first cryogen in liquid phase and causes any gaseous first cryogen to re-condense into liquid phase. An outer vessel surrounds the inner vessel, giving the cryogenic cooling system a double-walled construction. The space between the inner vessel and the outer vessel can be variably pressurized by a compressible fluid. The pressure in the space defines, at least in part, the level of heat transfer between the inner vessel and the space. Coils or tubes extend within the space between the inner vessel and the outer vessel without contacting either the inner vessel or the outer vessel. The coils or tubes receive a fluid for cooling and route that fluid through the space. The cooling system can be used in either open-loop or closed-loop configurations.
