    • The present invention refers to a drug delivery device comprising, a dose setting and/or drive mechanism (3) comprising a stationary housing (9) having at least one internal groove (10) on an inner surface; a driver (11) positioned within the housing (9) which is moveable relative to the housing (9) during dose dialing and which is moveable relative to the housing (9) during dose dispensing; and at least one flexible tab (14) that is biased to engage the at least one internal groove (10) such that the at least one flexible tab (14) repeatedly engages and disengages the at least one internal groove (10) during dose dialing or during dose dispensing, thereby performing an oscillating movement between two positions comprising a first position in which the at least one flexible tab (14) engages the at least one internal groove (10) and a second position in which the at least one flexible tab (14) is disengaged from the at least one internal groove (10). Further, the device comprises at least one micro-electro-mechanical system (16, 17, 18) comprising at least one sensor (16, 18) configured and arranged to detect the oscillating movement of the at least one flexible tab (14) during dose dialing or dose dispensing. In addition, the invention refers to a method for determining a dialed or dispensed dose in a drug delivery device.

    • The present invention refers to a switch assembly (20, 30) for an electronic system of a drug delivery device (1). The switch assembly comprises a chassis (19) supporting a PC BA (110) comprising at least a first electrical contact (23a), a second electrical contact (23b), a third electrical contact (23c) and a fourth electrical contact (23d) and a ring (21) with a ratchet profile (22). The chassis (19) moves axially relative to the ring (21) from a first axial position to a second axial position during a first switch operation mode. The chassis (19) and the ring (21) are configured such that the ring (21) rotates relative to the chassis (19) during a second switch operation mode. The first electrical contact (23a) and the second electrical contact (23b) are arranged such that upon axial movement of the chassis (19) towards the ring (21) during the first switch operation mode an electrical connection between the first electrical contact (23a) and the second electrical contact (23b) is closed. Further, an elastically deformable arm (24) is radially interposed between ratchet profile (22) of the ring (21) and the chassis (19) and is guided on the ratchet profile (22) such that the arm (24) at least during the second switch operation mode elastically deforms in a radial direction towards the chassis (19) thereby alternately opening and closing an electrical connection between the third electrical contact (23c) and the fourth electrical contact (23d) via the arm (24).
