摘要： A seat back assembly for connecting a seat back shell to the seat back tubes of a wheelchair comprises a shell, upper and lower shell connectors, and upper and lower side plate portions. The lower shell connector is mounted to a lower portion of the shell. The upper shell connector is mounted to an upper portion of the shell. The upper side plate portion is adapted to be mounted to an upper portion of the seat back tube. The lower side plate portion is adapted to be mounted to a lower portion of the seat back tube at a position substantially co-linear to the posterior superior illiac spine (PSIS) of a user. The lower shell connector and the lower side plate portion are pivotally engageable with one another along a pivot axis. The upper shell connector and the upper side plate portion are attachable relative to one another at discrete locations so as to permit the angular disposition of the shell to be adjusted.

摘要： An automotive seat-back structure is provided to protect a passenger's neck vertebra at a vehicle's rear-end collision and also support the passenger's lumbar vertebra. The automotive seat-back structure includes a seat-back frame 2, an actuating member 4 and supporting means 7. A first supporting member 5 is carried by a lower end 2c of the seat-back frame 2, while a second supporting member 6 is carried by the actuating member 4 or the supporting means 7. The first and second supporting members 5, 6 carry a lumbar supporting member 8 capable of supporting the passenger's lumbar vertebra on pressure. The member 8 is carried so as to be rotatable back and forth and also movable up and down.

The platelets have variable height so that the user may selectively and incrementally adjust the height of the lumbar support to meet his or her particular lumbar support needs. The lumbar support preferably further includes a belt and/or guide members for adjustably and removably attaching the platelets to an exercise device, such as a weight lifting bench.

摘要： A posture system with a lumbar pad and a cervical pad either one or both of which may be used. The lumbar and cervical pads may be supported on a chair by arms which can be bent to a desired position which position is retained until sufficient force is applied to place the arms into a different position. A back cover held on the back of a chair by a pocket at the end of back cover may also used with or be used in place of the arms. Hook and loop material on the lumbar pad and the cervical pad and the back cover provides support for the lumbar pad and the cervical pad. The lumbar pad and the cervical pad wrap up into the back cover which is held in the pocket for carrying.
