The lower portion of each of its right-side and left-side members 3, which are made of sheet steel, include a plurality of holes 7 and 8 in which fastening bolts 11 and 12 are inserted so as to connect the side members 3 with an external member. The fastening bolt 11 is capable of contacting the hole brim of a hole, and by installing such a fastening bolt 11 in all of the holes, or in all of the holes but one, the shock of a rear-end collision is softened.

摘要： A vehicle seat formed by a contoured tubular frame defining the edges of a seat base and a seat back and having tensioned belts and an elastomeric mesh seat fabric. The contoured tubular frame is wrapped in foam padding for comfort and impact protection. Two belts are provided in each of the seat base and seat back. The elastomeric seat mesh fabric forms an elastomeric seating surface that wraps around the seat occupant. The elastomeric mesh seat fabric is secured to the belts that provide seating surface contour and minimize excursion of the elastomeric mesh seat fabric. A cushion is provided under the elastomeric seating surface near the front of the seat to prevent submarining in an impact. An eccentric lumbar cushion is provided on a flexible shaft to permit adjustment of the degree of lower back support.

摘要： A portable aircraft cushion that may be selectively used by passengers seated in standard aircraft seats to provide greater back, head, and neck support so that the passengers may sleep easier. In the preferred embodiment, the cushion comprises a lower body support section made of a plurality of transversely aligned, interconnected air chambers which are filled with air using a supplied pump or the aircraft air ventilation system. When inflated, the top air chambers in the body support section are positioned approximately level with the top edge of the seat when fully reclined. Located above the body support section is an inflatable head and neck support section that extends above the top edge of the seat when inflated to support the user's head and neck. In the preferred embodiment, the head and neck section comprises two lateral support chambers separated by non-inflating webbing material. During use, the body support section and the head and neck sections are integrally formed so that when the passenger slowly sits back on the cushion, air initially placed in the cushion is forced upward around the passenger's body and his or her neck and head.

Each rope provides two upwardly extending portions which pass through, and hold in place at vertically-spaced positions, two rigid wooden support members. A bamboo platen has respective end areas providing an overhead sun screen supported by one pair of support members and a seat supported by the second pair of support members. The intermediate area of the screen provides a back rest and may be formed with a lumbar support. Arm rests movable to chosen positions on the ropes may be provided for comfort. Holes through which the ropes pass enable the heights of the seat and sun screen to be varied as well as their angles.
