    • A seat having a seating face made of sheet resilient material is assembled from a seat frame comprising a substantially quadrilateral frame body, the sheet resilient material forming the seating face, a pad member forming a largely rising bank, and a skin material enclosing the pad member, wherein the sheet resilient material is stretched within a frame body of the seat frame, one end of the skin material is abutted against and fixed on the frame body of the seat frame, the pad member is assembled outside the seat frame, the skin material covers outside of the pad member from the one end which is abutted against and fixed on the frame body of the seat frame, and the other end is wound and stopped around a back of the seat frame, a bank which rises larger than the surface position of the seating face made of the sheet resilient material which is stretched within the frame of the seat frame is formed, and the bank is assembled as a strong bank with a simple structure, and the pad member prevents the seat frame from touching a sitting passenger so that the sitting passenger should not feel a sense of incongruity.

    • A structural unit having a net member incorporated therein capable of preventing local application of undue force to the net member, to thereby increase reliability of the net member. An end section of a net member of a three-dimensional structure is treated so as to be reduced in cushioning characteristics and increased in hardness as compared with a portion of the net member positioned inside the end section. A frame constituting a part of the structural unit is provided with an end holding member so that an insertion port of an insertion gap of the end holding member is arranged in a particular direction or posture, resulting in the end section being readily held in the holding member by merely inserting the end section in the insertion gap. The end section is entirely inserted into the insertion gap, so that application of load to the end section may be carried out in a two-dimensional manner rather than a spot-like manner. This prevents local application of load to the net member, to thereby keep the net member from damage thereto.

    • A fastening system is for a vehicle seat having at least one padded part of a foamed material surrounded by at least one upholstery part. The upholstery part is connected with at least one profiled strip having hooking elements on its periphery. A longitudinal channel is present in the padded part, corresponds in shape to the profiled strip, and has recesses along its longitudinal alignment. The recesses engage the hooking elements. This fastening system can be manufactured at low cost, is comfortable for the passenger and produces no disturbing noises.
