    • Method for producing a decorated adjuster for a necklace or choker in which a tube of elastic is inserted into a metal pipe to thereby form a raw material. The raw material is moved along a longitudinal axis while being rotated and pressed between a pair of molds having adjoining concavities formed between ends of the mold and in opposed relation to concavities in the other mold. The concavities have a shape gradually approaching a hemispherical form in a direction from an entry end to an exit end whereby the last concavity has a hemispherical form such that the raw material is progressively formed into a shell element. The shell elements have an inner surface coated with the elastic material and are formed upon the continual movement of the raw material through the molds. The shell elements are separated from one another and a pair of opposed through apertures are formed to thereby form the decorated adjuster.

    • A jewelry ring assembly includes a base ring having an annular channel on its outer surface and a retained ring disposed in that channel to be freely rotatable about the base ring and capable of wobbling in the channel. The base ring is a single piece of metal and its retaining channel is smoothly concave in width between raised annular edges. The base ring is formed from a cylindrical blank initially having a constant outside diameter across its width, which diameter is smaller than the retained ring inside diameter. The method of fabricating the ring assembly begins with flaring one edge radially outward to a final diameter larger than the retained ring inside diameter. The retained ring is moved over the unflared edge, after which that edge is also flared to the final diameter. Enlarging the annular edges in separate steps permits the base ring to be formed from a single piece of metal while presenting a retaining channel having a smooth concave width.

    • The present invention relates to a process for making a decorative device to be incorporated in jewelry or other objects that will likely be worn or carried by a person. The invention generally comprises the steps of removing a computer chip from a personal computer or other type of computing device and then removing from the computer chip substantially all of the metal connector elements used to mount the chip to a board, usually known as the “mother board.” Next, at least one of the two main faces of the computer chip, typically made of silicon or a graphite material, is grinded down so as to expose a plurality of the conductive pathways formed within the computer chip, whereupon the main face of the computer chip with the pathways exposed thereon may be polished. Next, the computer chip is preferably mounted to a base, with the polished main face thereof being exposed for viewing and a solder is then applied about a perimeter of the exposed main face of the chip so as to decorate the side edges of the computer chip and secure it to the base. At this point, the decorative device comprised of the modified computer chip and base can be used to form a piece of jewelry or other decorative piece. For example, a decorative connecting band can be soldered or otherwise attached to opposite ends of the base so as to form a necklace, bracelet, anklet, belt, etc. Alternatively, the decorative device can be connected to a clip so as to form a barrette or secured to another object, such as a purse, wallet, key chain, picture frame, candle holder, lamp base, crucifix, etc.
