    • For a gyrocompass having a capsule, mounted so as to float in a gas-tight fashion, for at least one electrically driven gyro, it is provided in accordance with the invention to produce the capsule from two mutually adapted shells (1,2) which are sealed with respect to one another and consist of a high-strength, corrosion-resistant material which is, however, a good electric conductor, particularly from a steel alloy or titanium alloy or from a high-strength conducting plastic material. The particular advantage of the invention consists in avoiding electrically insulated bushings on the bottom and edge sides, and in substantially simplifying the configuaration of an equatorial azimuthal tap (E).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gyrocompass capable of power supplying to its gyro-rotor without using harmful substance in the current supplying path, and capable of securing tracking accuracy equivalent to the conventional one. SOLUTION: The gyrocompass is provided with a liquid bath provided with built-in liquid; the rotor sphere supported by the supporting liquid while being supported rotatably at its center part by a center pin provided upper side of the liquid bath; the built-in gyro-rotor provided in the rotor sphere; a pan like electrode oppositely arranged to the rotor sphere via the supporting liquid at the bottom of the liquid bath; a pair of tracking electrodes arranged adjacent to the equator of the liquid bath oppositely separated by 180°; and belt like electrodes oppositely arranged via the supporting liquid adjacent to the equator of the rotor sphere interleaving the pair of tracking electrodes.
