    • A connector is disclosed for interconnection of disconnected truss members. The connector comprises an elongate sheet metal plate including a first plate portion (77) and a second plate portion (79). The first plate portion (77) has nailing teeth (81) adapted to be driven into a truss member (21) for permanently attaching the first plate portion (77) to one member. The second plate portion (79) has nail holes (83) formed in it for receiving nails to permanently attach the second plate portion (79) to another of the truss members. The second truss plate portion (79) is substantially free of nailing teeth at the peripheries of the nail holes (83), but has at least one nailing tooth for temporary connection of the second plate portion to the truss (21) during transport. The truss can be collapsed and transported to the building site with the truss members disconnected. The truss can then be erected and the truss members connected by positioning the second plate over a face of the other truss member and securing the second plate to the other truss member by driving nails through the holes.

    • A fixing device 30 can be used in securing two members, one of which is provided with a groove together in a predetermined angular relationship. The device includes two limbs 32,34 having respective free ends 36,46 located at the same end of the device and arranged to act as levers which, when pushed towards each other at a predetermined position, cause the free ends 36,46 to move apart to engage the walls of the groove. The device 30 also advantageously includes: a necked slot for receiving eg. a screw for securement to the one planar surface, which necked slot co-operates with the screw such that the screw will push the limbs together in order to effect said engagement as the screw secures the device to the other member.

    • A method for production of a trussed rafter, where the nail plates are fixed to timber members at cutting before they are brought to the assembly station. The assembly station can be any type of a rafter jig but it can also be a levelled surface, e.g. a factory floor, whereby an assembly jig is not needed at all, the labor and force required for timber member jointing are minor, because the nail plates are already fixed to the timber members and assembly can take place completely or at least to the main part by means of upper plates (8). The assembly surface has a mesh pattern (1), by means of which side guides (2) needed at assembling can be positionned. Markings indicating prefixed platings and/or nail plate positions are used in quality control.

    • A spike plate which is used mainly in joining wooden parts and which is made of steel sheet (1) by punching from it a set of projecting spikes (2).
