摘要： A U-lock holder for stowing a U-lock on a bicycle frame. The holder comprises a brace (26) for connection to a leg of the U-lock and a bracket (28) for connection to a part of the bicycle frame. The brace and the bracket are adapted for engagement and disengagement with and from each other. The brace includes a collar (30), a tongue (32), and opposed intermediate articulations between the collar and the tongue. The bracket includes a mount, a channel (42), a saddle (44), and opposed intermediate guides (46, 48) between the channel and the saddle. The collar is adapted to receive and to be affixed to a leg of the U-lock. The mount is adapted to abut against the bicycle frame. A strap tightly affixes the bracket to the bicycle frame. Mating of the brace and the bracket effect simultaneous engagement of (1) the tongue and the articulations of the brace and (2) the channel and the guides of the bracket.

The splines (262, 276, 292, 204) may be integral with a shackle leg (20) or located on a tubular collar (220) that is immovably affixed to the shackle leg (20). The hub (34) has an opening (150) along an axis for receiving the shackle leg (20). The opening (150) includes at least one groove (154, 164) that is sized to fit the splines (262, 276, 292, 204). A stop (160, 258, 180) limits relative motion between the shackle (14) and the body (30). It has are several embodiments: a shoulder (258) adjacent to the splines (262), at least one groove (154) having a closed end (160), and a latch (180) extending into and across the hub opening (150). A fastener (136, 126) secures the seat (32) to the bicycle frame strut (8). It has two embodiments: a strap (136) and integral portions (126) of the seat (32) extending around the strut (8) held together by a screw/nut combination (122, 124).

摘要： A bicycle accessory for carrying a coiled shackle in which an elongated arm and a mechansim for releasable securing a coiled shackle to the elongated arm are provided. In one embodiment the carrier accessory includes a clip (50) having lower (52) and upper (54) arms which extend outwardly from a mechanism for securing the accessory to a bicycle. In preferred embodiments a hinged lid (70) is attached to the distal end of one of the arms in such a manner that a portion of the hinged lid and a portion of the other arm form a locking system. When a coiled shackle (22) is inserted between the upper and lower arms of the carrier accessory, the arms may then be locked together by the lid to form a closed, and normally tightened carrier accessory for a coiled shackle, with or without a padlock (24). In another embodiment, the carrier accessory of the present invention includes a lower arm (152), which extends outwardly from a mechanism for securing the accessory to a bicycle, and a flexible strap (154) which extends above the lower arm. As in the first embodiment, a to-be-carried coiled shackle may be placed on the lower arm, followed by the attachment of the strap over the shackle and to the lower arm.
