    • A method of producing a thin-walled rubber hose, which makes co-extrusion possible even under the condition that an impermeable rubber hose be reduced in weight and wall-thinning be achieved for cost reduction purposes and that the resin film in the intermediate layer be in the form of a rigid one which is fed to an extrusion head while it is gradually converted from its planar form into a cylindrical form, during which conversion rubber is co-extruded inside and outside, in which case bends or twists are formed in the resin film to make co-extrusion difficult, the method comprising the steps of forming an intermediate layer (2), forming a long-sized film (5) of thermoplastic resin whose melting point is lower than vulcanization temperature, forming slits (7) at predetermined longitudinal intervals in the right and left longer sides (8, 8). When this resin film (5) is fed into an extrusion head (10) and rounded into a cylindrical form, the right and left longer sides (8, 8) which have been weakened by the slits (7) result in the strain produced during bending being accommodated, allowing the film to bend in a circle with the right and left longer sides overlapping each other at an overlap (6). In this state, rubber is co-extruded inside and outside and then vulcanized to fuse together the upper and lower portions in the overlap (6), thereby causing the slits (7) to disappear.
