    • Technology-implemented systems and methods for the application of a damage- scale method in the design, issuance, management, and claim servicing of a catastrophe insurance policy are disclosed herein. In some examples, defined catastrophe insurance policies are issued to insure property from wide-scale natural catastrophic events such as floods, earthquakes, and the like natural disasters. The defined catastrophe insurance policies include specific damage-scale method clauses defined in the terms and conditions of the insurance policy, with use of the damage-scale method to evaluate and manage insurance claims arising from insurance coverage of property damage caused by the catastrophic events. For example, a damage-scale application may include contractually defining and linking predefined insurance indemnification payouts to specific states of property damage (rather than property replacement or repair cost estimates provided by insurance loss adjusters). Resulting insured property damage may be determined through the application of damage scale based computational algorithms and supporting claims management systems and technologies.
