    • PURPOSE:To compensate the positional distortion of an indicator fixed on a dialing system by fixing a base part of a selecting volume on a fitting plate, forming plural engaging parts to be engaged with long holes and the fitting plate and engaging one of the engaging parts alternatively and selectively to clamp the fitting plate with screws. CONSTITUTION:The fitting plate 15 is provided with a projection 16, an engaging means, on its one end side, a through hole 17 and screw holes 18 arranged in parallel with a through hole 17. The base part 6 of the channel selecting volume 3 is fixed on the fitting plate 15 through the through hole 17 with a nut 5. Round holes 23a-23g which are plural engaging parts to be engaged with the long holes 22 arranged in parallel with the penetration hole 21 and the projection 16 of the fitting plate 15 are formed on a base plate 20. One of the round holes 23a-23g is alternatively and selectively engaged with the projection 16 and screws 24 are fitted to the long holes and screw holes 18 respectively and then clamped. Thus, the dialing system 10 is transferred to each different position and the positional distortion of the indicator 14 fixed on the system 10 can be compensated.

    • A tuning apparatus includes a dial plate marked with broadcast frequencies thereon, a guide shaft provided in parallel with the dial plate, a substrate having a resistive layer thereon, the resistive layer having varying resistance values distributed therealong which correspond to the broadcast frequencies on the dial plate, the resistive layer being supplied with a DC voltage at opposite ends thereof, a plurality of markers, each slidably disposed with respect to the dial plate to indicate a predetermined broadcast frequency, and each having a first engaging portion and a first electrically conductive slide element for slidably contacting the resistive layer to detect a predetermined DC voltage in response to the location of the markers, a mounting member slidably disposed on the guide shaft in parallel with the dial plate, and including a display member extending therefrom toward the dial plate to indicate a manually selected broadcast frequency, a second electrically conductive slide element for slidably contacting the resistive layer to detect a predetermined DC voltage in response to the location of the mounting member, and a sleeve member slidably mounted on the guide shaft and including a projecting portion adapted to engage the engaging portions of the markers, and a switching circuit supplied with the DC voltages from the first and second slide elements and selectively supplying one of the DC voltages to a tuning circuit as a tuning control voltage.

    • Tuning apparatus including a scale provided with indicia corresponding to different broadcast frequencies to which the tuning apparatus is tunable and a pointer movable across the scale to indicate the particular broadcast frequency to which the tuning apparatus is tuned. The pointer is supported by a movable support which is guided by a guide shaft. A plurality of markers are slidably guided along at least one guide rail and are individually settable to desired locations adjacent the scale, thereby representing particular broadcast frequencies to which the tuning apparatus is tunable. A key removably mounted on the guide shaft is bi-directionally driven therealong by the movable support, the key being selectively operative to engage a desired one of the markers to move the engaged marker along the guide rail as the support is moved, whereby the marker is set to a desired position by reason of its engagement with the key.

    • A selective frequency scale display mechanism for a pushbutton AM and FM radio receiver is disclosed. Presetable cam projections are located on each of a plurality of tuning pushbuttons and predesignate each pushbutton for tuning the radio to either the AM or FM frequency waveband. Manual actuation of a tuning pushbutton causes a band selecting cam projection to selectively engage and pivot a pivotal plate which results in actuating an overcenter spring assembly that in turn pivots a multisurface display body having different longitudinally extending scales on each of a plurality of its surfaces. In this manner, manual actuation of a tuning pushbutton results in selecting the band to which the radio will be tuned to, selecting the individual frequency within this band that the radio will be tuned to, and providing a visual display of the longitudinally extending scale which corresponds to the selected band. The pivotal plate is positioned such that after initial engagement with the band selecting cam projecting it is pivoted out of engagement with the cam projection by operation of the overcenter spring assembly and therefore the plate does not interfere with the frequency tuning operation of the pushbutton resulting from the full inward manual depression of the pushbutton.
