摘要： An electrical power source comprises a casing made by diffusion bonding an intermediate ceramic ring to a titanium base plate and a titanium top ring. An anode housed in the resulting open-ended container is electrically connected to the base plate. A separator is positioned on the anode. Separately, a cathode is electrically connected to a titanium lid. The lid fitted on the titanium top ring opposite the intermediate ceramic ring is welded to the top ring to close the casing. An electrolyte filled into the casing through a fill port in the lid activates the anode/cathode assembly. The fill port is then hermetically sealed. Gold pads are individually contacted to the base plate and the lid, which serve as opposite polarity terminals for the power source.

摘要： A button battery according to the invention comprises a first component (1) in the form of a cup-shaped container, an electrode assembly (4) inserted in the container, and furthermore a lid-shaped second component (10) fixed along its outer edge to the upper rim of the sidewall (3) of the container. Either the first or the second component comprises three portions: an electrically conductive central portion (11), an electrically conductive peripheral portion (12) and an electrically insulating intermediate portion (13) that separates and insulates the central portion from the peripheral portion. The sidewall (3) of the first component and the edge of the second component (10) are shaped so as to comprise complementary conical portions (22, 25) which are in mutual contact in the assembled battery. Said complementary conical portions enable the self-alignment of the lid (10) to the rim of the sidewall (3) during assembly of the battery, and further aid in maintaining the lid onto the container during the sealing process which may be a process of welding the lid to the container along a common perimeter. According to preferred embodiments, the edge of the lid (10) and the rim of the sidewall (3) are further provided with step portions (23, 25) configured to define a stop for the insertion of one conical portion into the other.

A button-type secondary battery having a diameter greater than a height thereof includes a can body which has an opened upper end and in which an accommodation space is formed, an electrode assembly accommodated in the accommodation space of the can body, and a top cap assembly configured to cover the upper end of the can body and coupled to the can body, wherein the top cap assembly includes a base plate having a flat plate shape and bent upward from a circumferential area thereof, an electrode terminal having a flat plate shape so as to be seated on an upper portion of the base plate, wherein the electrode terminal comprises a protrusion protruding downward from a central area thereof, and an insulating member provided between the base plate and the electrode terminal.
