    • Disclosed in the present invention are a gap and height difference measuring system for a vehicle and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the gap and different height measuring system for a vehicle is installed in a transfer conveyor capable of transferring a car body where all the panels of a roof, a hood, a door, and a trunk lid are completely assembled, in order to measure a gap and a height difference between each panel and the car body. The system comprises: a reflected light sensing unit installed in a workspace in a transfer conveyor line in order to sense reflected light reflected from the transferred car body in accordance to the illumination intensity of a lamp; measuring robots installed on both sides of the transfer conveyor line in the width direction of the car body, on one side separated from the reflected light sensing unit, in order to measure a gap and height difference between the car body and each panel; and a controller which regulates the illumination intensity of the lamp by receiving a signal sensed by the reflected light sensing unit comparing the signal with a preset value, and controls the measuring robots by outputting specifications of a vehicle model corresponding to the car body transferred to the measuring robots.
