摘要： An accessory device (100) that is mountable to a camera (200) comprises an accessory control unit (111) controlling communication that is performed between the camera and the accessory device via channels, the channels including a data communication channel (DATA) used for data communication and a notification channel (CS) for notifying timing of communication performed via the data communication channel. The accessory control unit is able to switch a first communication mode used for communication between the camera and a plurality of accessory devices mounted to the camera and including the aforesaid accessory device and a second communication mode which corresponds to a communication between the camera and the accessory device designated as a communication partner by the camera, and performs switching from the first communication mode to the second communication mode upon receiving communication-partner designation data via the data communication channel in the first communication mode, the communication-partner designation data indicating that the aforesaid accessory device has been selected as a communication partner with the camera in the second communication mode, wherein the second communication mode is different from the first communication mode in voltage level of the notification channel during a period in which data is received from the camera.

摘要： A lens apparatus (600) is attachable to and detachable from an image pickup apparatus (100). The lens apparatus comprises an imaging optical system (680), a first-shaped mount part (650) engageable with a mount part (150) of the image pickup apparatus and including a plurality of electrical contacts (6001-6012), and a communicator (600) communicable with the image pickup apparatus, wherein a predetermined electrical contact (6003) among the plurality of electrical contacts is not used to supply power from the image pickup apparatus or to communicate with the image pickup apparatus, and is grounded via a resistor (622). The communicator is communicable with the image pickup apparatus using a second communication method different from a first communication method, and uncommunicable with the image pickup apparatus using the first communication method. The resistor grounding the predetermined electrical contact has a resistance value according to the type of the lens apparatus being a type which communicates with the image pickup apparatus at a first voltage using the second communication method.
