    • A rise/fall time cursor display computes from digitized waveform data break points in the waveform, such as 20% and 80% amplitude points. These points are connected by a straight line that is stored with the waveform data in a display memory. Short horizontal lines may be added to the cursor at the 20% and 80% amplitude points to clearly show the break points and the slope of the edge of the waveform. Further from the horizontal difference in the amplitude points and the known sample rate the actual rise/fall time is computed for alphanumeric display with the waveform.

    • The time stamping method for an input signal generates time marked digital data values as a reference edge and defines at least a first time stamp in the reference edge. Digital data samples of the input signal are acquired to create a waveform record of the input signal. The digital data samples of a waveform record edge are compared to time equivalent digital data values of the reference edge to generate a error value representative of the difference between the waveform record edge and the reference edge. A time offset value is generated from the error value to vary the time location of the reference edge and the comparison and time offset generating steps are repeated to minimize the error value. The time offset value at the minimum error value is combined with a time location of nearest digital data s ample of the waveform record edge to generate a waveform record edge time stamp.

    • An electrical panel meter system may include a controller and a plurality of meter modules. Each meter module may be configured to monitor, read, and store at the meter module electrical data related to electrical power provided to a respective branch circuit of the electrical panel meter system. The controller may be configured to issue a read command simultaneously to each meter module and to store a timestamp indicative of the issuance of the read command. The controller may also be configured to issue a send command sequentially to each meter module to transmit its stored electrical data reading. The controller may further be configured to append the stored timestamp to each received electrical data reading to create a timestamped electrical data reading suitable for use in power quality analyses. Methods of timestamping electrical data sampled in an electrical panel meter system are also provided, as are other aspects.
