摘要： A ported housing that may be connected along a casing string and the method for use of the ported housing in fracturing and/or treating multiple zones in a well. A sleeve is connected to the ported housing and may be moved between an initial position that prevents fluid flow through the ports of the housing and second position that permits fluid flow through the ports. A bottom hole assembly may be connected to the sleeve by an anchor. A packer element may create a seal between the bottom hole assembly and the sleeve permitting a pressure differential across the packer element to move bottom hole assembly down the casing moving the sleeve to the second position. In the second position, the formation adjacent to the ported housing may be stimulated and/or treated.

摘要： A first aspect of the invention provides a gas or oil well tubing having an annular packer mounted thereon, wherein the annular packer is formed from an eutectic alloy. By prefabricating the annular packer on the tubing it can be placed in situ from the outset and thus can be active by melting at any time to form a eutectic seal quickly and easily. An annular packer with by-pass conduits is also provided to enable cement to be pumped past the annular packer when it is in situ. The annular packer is further provided with conduit clearance means to clear cement from within the conduits.

(i) injecting a curable resin (15) into the pipe (15) so as to at least partly fill the pipe (15) with resin;
(ii) allowing or causing the resin (15) to cure; and
(iii) applying a tensile load to one end of the resin (15)/pipe (5) composite whereby the resin (15)/pipe (5) composite is pulled from the ground (10) in a generally axial direction.
