摘要： The present invention is directed to a rolling protective shutter having slats with integrated screw bosses formed in their hinges. Each slat includes a first elongated socket along one edge of the slat, and a second elongated socket along the opposite edge of the slat. The hinges of the shutter curtain are formed by pivotally disposing the second elongated socket of one slat within the first elongated socket of an adjacent slat. After the shutter curtain is assembled, alignment/retention members are attached to either end of the second elongated socket to keep the slats substantially vertically aligned and retained within the side tracks. The alignment/retention members engage the adjoining slats to prevent substantial relative movement of the interconnected slats, and are dimensioned so that the alignment/retention members do not extend beyond the surfaces of the slats. Consequently, the shutter curtain may be tightly rolled onto the shutter support member without interference from the alignment/retention members.

In some embodiments, the door is segmented and comprises a plurality of interlocking segments that are rotatable with respect to each other. In some embodiments, the pet door system further includes a rotating cylinder attached to the flexible door and rotatably connected to the casing and a motor comprising a gear head, where the gear head is attached to the rotating cylinder, such that when the motor is activated, the gear head is rotatable in a first direction to wind the flexible door around the rotating cylinder. 摘要： A slat system having a slat hanging with slats and a shifting apparatus for shifting the slats. The slats are intercoupled and movable from a closed position, in which broad faces of the slats are substantially flush in a plane and narrow faces of adjacent slats face one another, into an open position, in which the broad faces of the slats are parallel to one another but not parallel to an opening and closing direction, using the shifting apparatus to shift the slats in the opening and closing direction. The shifting apparatus has a pulling means coupled at one end to the slat hanging. The slat system has a first sheave mounted so as to be rotatable about an axis in two directions, to which sheave the other end of the pulling means is fastened, and a locking means to block the sheave from rotating in the open position.
