摘要： Apparatus forms folds in a continuously moving web by passing the web over skis. The folds may be arranged to form pleats. The skis are individually movable to facilitate adjustment. Adjustment of the skis can be done while the web is moving through the apparatus. Further, the portions of the web immediately to the sides of the skis are controlled by respective material guides to make certain the pleat folds are properly formed on the sides of the pleated section. The web is continuously and automatically guided to maintain a substantially constant position in a direction transverse to the web.
