摘要： The present invention comprises a shipping container (10) convertible into a display container at a point of sale. The container comprises a case (11) having sidewalls, a closed bottom, and an open top. A separate cover is secured to and closes the open top. The cover comprises a lid panel (20) coextensive in length and width with the open top. The lid panel has opposite side edges. A flange (19a-19d) depending from each of the side edges of the lid panel and attached to upper outer surfaces of the case sidewalls to secure the cover to the case. A detachable display panel (24) formed in the lid panel by weakened tear lines in the lid panel extending around a border portion of the lid panel spaced inwardly from the side edges thereof, said display panel extending over a substantial portion of the lid panel, and surface portions of the lid panel between the tear lines and the side edges of the lid panel defining surfaces for receipt of high end graphics. A detachable protective panel (21) is foldably attached to one side edge of the lid panel by weakened tear lines, said protective panel folded inwardly over the lid panel and attached to the display panel, whereby removal of the protective panel carries with it and removes the display panel to form a display opening in the lid panel for display of and access to product contained in the container.

摘要： A plastic part is molded onto a top of a container having folded flaps on the top of the container. The container is formed into a tube shape from a flexible web material with crease lines. Contents are filled into the tube of web material, the tube is transverse sealed and a primary shape container is obtained by cuffing the web material along crease lines. A final shape container is obtained with multi-folding of folded flaps onto the container top. A mold of an injection molding apparatus is applied against the top of the container, and fusion thermoplastic material is injected into the cavity formed between the mold and the top of the container. The thermoplastic material is then cooled, and the mold removed to leave the plastic part molded to the top of the container.
