摘要： The invention relates to a motor vehicle headlamp that has a housing and a light module that is connected to the housing by an adjustment device for adjusting the main beam direction thereof. The adjustment device has a threaded adjustment assembly and a pivot lever, which is supported in the housing such that it can pivot about a stationary pivot point in relation to the housing. The pivot lever has a movement input coupling section at a distance to the pivot point, with which it is coupled in a flexible manner to the adjustment assembly. The pivot lever is connected to the light module at a movement output coupling section that is at a distance to the pivot point and the movement input coupling section.

摘要： What follows is the description of an improved hydraulic apparatus for the automatic adjustment of the inclination of the headlights of a motor vehicle, the adjustment being a dependent function of the axle load. The apparatus has a level sensor at each axle and each level sensor contains one metering piston and two positioning pistons. The rear axle level sensor is connected via two separate hydraulic lines to the front axle sensor, and the front axle sensor is in turn connected via two separate hydraulic lines to the positioning elements of the headlight housings. The internal construction of the two level sensors is substantially identical and is chosen such that the system is also suitable for manual adjustment.

摘要： The headlamp tilting system comprises a headlamp tilting mechanism and a headlamp securing mechanism. The headlamp tilting system includes a tensioned cable which leads to a sensor at the rear of the motor vehicle and is connected with a tube having a slidable output rod therein connected with a cross rod upon which headlamps of the motor vehicle are mounted. The tube is movable relative to a body of the vehicle and the output rod is connected with the tube via a pair of springs. The headlamp securing mechanism comprises a lever carrying a catch in the form of a V-shaped notch which is engageable over a pin carried by a lever secured to the cross rod. A spring biasses the lever into a position in which the catch engages the pin but an abutment on the lever engaging a pin in an elongate slot in the rod normally prevents such movement. In the event of a breakage of the cable, the springs within the tube cause a plate on the tube to engage an extension on lever to effect disengagement of the abutment from the pin. This action causes spring to urge the lever so that the catch engages the pin on the lever secured to the cross rod. In this manner, movement of the headlamps is limited.
