    • A leaning vehicle including an electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission, which has improved followability of the driving force in response to an operation of the accelerator by the rider while the leaning vehicle decelerates or accelerates, is provided. A leaning vehicle (1, 201) comprises a vehicle body frame (7, 207) which is structured to lean rightward of the leaning vehicle (1, 201) when turning right and to lean leftward of the leaning vehicle (1, 201) when turning left; an engine main body unit (20, 220) which includes a crankshaft (21, 252); an electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) which is connected to the crankshaft (21, 252) and is configured to transmit power of the engine main body unit (20, 220) at a transmission ratio set by an electric motor (71, 265); at least one driving wheel (3, 303) which is connected to the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) and is configured to generate a driving force by the power transmitted from the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250); an upstream rotating electric machine (90, 290) which is a rotating electric machine provided upstream of the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) on a power transmission path on which the power is transmitted from the crankshaft (21, 252) to the at least one driving wheel (3, 303), and which is configured to impart a torque in a reverse rotational direction of the crankshaft (21, 252) to the crankshaft (21, 252) and to impart a torque in a positive rotational direction of the crankshaft (21, 252) to the crankshaft (21, 252) which is provided upstream of the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) on the power transmission path; and a controller (105, 305) which is able to perform both transmission control of changing the transmission ratio by controlling the electric motor (71, 265) of the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) and rotating electric machine control of changing the torque imparted to the crankshaft (21, 252) which is provided upstream of the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) on the power transmission path by controlling the upstream rotating electric machine (90, 290), while the leaning vehicle (1, 201) accelerates or decelerates, wherein (1) while the leaning vehicle (1, 201) accelerates, the controller (105, 305) is configured to perform either acceleration transmission control of changing the transmission ratio by controlling the electric motor (71, 265) of the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) or acceleration rotating electric machine control of changing a torque in a positive rotational direction of the crankshaft (21, 252) imparted to the upstream of the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) on the power transmission path by controlling the upstream rotating electric machine(90, 290), and (2) while the leaning vehicle (1, 201) decelerates, the controller (105, 305) is configured to perform either deceleration transmission control of changing the transmission ratio by controlling the electric motor (71, 265) of the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) or deceleration rotating electric machine control of changing the torque in the reverse rotational direction of the crankshaft (21, 252) imparted to the upstream of the electric-motor-driven automatic-controlled transmission (50, 250) on the power transmission path by controlling the upstream rotating electric machine (90, 290).
