摘要： A flexible net-like covering for the doorway of a recreational vehicle to prevent occupants or objects from falling through the accidentally opened door. The covering, carried by a roller biased to a rolled condition and positioned above the recreational vehicle doorway, is manually extendable downwardly to cover the doorway. The sides of the covering provide fasteners movably carried in channels positioned on the sides of the doorway to maintain the net in operative position covering the door against applied forces.

摘要： A two door system for recreational vehicles or camper style trailers is disclosed including an interior door with a self-closing access panel for reaching a locking mechanism of an exterior door. The access panel provides a user the ability to reach and manipulate the latching mechanism of the exterior door from the interior of the vehicle even when the interior door is closed. A biasing member is disclosed that maintains the access panel in a closed position whenever an adequate opening force is not present. The access panel may take on a number of configurations and may be designed as a retrofit for existing door systems or as an original component. In a configuration, a vertically sliding movable panel portion may be provided, which defaults to a downward, closed position. In such embodiments, no biasing member may be needed (gravity may be sufficient for the movable panel portion to close).

A latch cam is operably coupled with the inside and outside handles, and the latch cam further includes a crank arm slidably disposed against an inclined surface of an offset plunger leg operably coupled to the latch plunger. A biasing member urges the latch plunger to an extended position, wherein rotation of the inside or outside door latch handle in a first direction rotates the crank arm of the latch cam and displaces the plunger leg of the latch plunger and the latch plunger to a retracted position against the urging of the biasing member.

摘要： A recreational vehicle having a door that has a leading edge with a sloped upper portion and hinges on a straight lower portion, such that the upper portion of the door is subject to fluttering under the forces encountered in use, and a catch assembly disposed between the vehicle and the door on the sloped upper portion near the upper end of the door. The catch assembly is of the type that engages as an incident to coming together as the door is closed, and is disengaged by a predetermined approximate opening force greater than the fluttering forces to be encountered in use. The preferred catch assembly comprises a leaf spring with a detent bend in a free end engageable with a catch member having a ramp for loading the spring and a detent recess into which the bend snaps on closing, and reverse-camming surfaces on the detent and the catch member for disengaging the catch for opening of the door. An important feature is the method of preventing door flutter in the foregoing manner.
