摘要： A light-curing ink fixing device comprising a light source for illuminating with fixing light the recording surface of a recording medium printed in a light-curing ink, a fixing body disposed in the carrying path of the printed recording medium, formed in a circular column, and capable of transmitting the fixing light, a carrier opposed to the fixing body with the carrying path interposed therebetween, and pressing means for nipping the fixing body and the carrier, wherein the recording medium is moved into the space between the fixing body and carrier nipped by the pressing means, the recording surface of the recording medium is brought into close contact with the fixing body, and the fixing light transmitted through the fixing body is projected onto the contact portions of the fixing body and the recording surface so as to cure and fix the light-curing ink in which the recording surface is printed.

摘要： An apparatus for fixing photocurable inks includes: a light source for irradiating light for fixation to a recording side of a recording medium printed with photocurable ink; a fixing member which is disposed in a conveyance path of the printed recording medium, is formed in a cylindrical shape, and can transmit the light for fixation; a conveying member disposed so as to face the fixing member over the conveyance path; and a pressurizing unit for nipping the fixing member and the conveying member. 摘要： Method for conditioning paper, which comprises a first step of cooling and one of applying a liquid to the paper. In the cooling step, the temperature of the paper is reduced, e.g. below ambient temperature or below the dew point of a liquid-saturated gas mass applied in the liquid-application step. The gas may be ambient air and the liquid water. Control means monitor the amount of liquid applied to the paper by means of measuring the relative humidity of the air, the absolute humidity of the paper, the temperature of the device where the liquid is applied and the temperature of the paper. The invention also comprises a device for applying the method and it may be applied to paper emerging from a printer, e.g. a digital printer.
