摘要： Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Handetikettiergerät, mit dessen Hilfe Selbstklebeetiketten bedruckt und ausgegeben werden können. Das Gerät enthält ein Gehäuse mit einem darin zwischen einer Ruheposition und einer Arbeitsposition um eine Achse (6) drehbar gelagerten Druckrad (5), an dessen Umfangsfläche in mehreren in axialer Richtung nebeneinanderliegenden Ebenen Drucktypen angeordnet sind. Parallel zu dieser Achse verläuft eine mit dem Druckrad verbundene Einstellspindel (8), die an einer Seitenfläche des Druckrades zwischen einer eingeschobenen und einer herausgezogenen Stellung verschiebbar ist. Diese Einstellspindel ragt durch eine Gehäusewand nach außen, und mit ihrer Hilfe können die in den verschiedenen Ebenen angeordneten Drucktypen relativ zueinander verstellt werden. Der Durchmesser der Einstellspindel ist in dem Bereich, der bei vollständig eingeschobener Einstellspindel in der Ebene der Gehäusewand liegt, reduziert, und in der Gehäusewand ist an der Stelle, an der sich die Einstellspindel in der Ruheposition des Druckrades befindet, eine Öffnung angebracht, deren lichte Weite größer als der nicht reduzierte Durchmesser der Einstellspindel ist. An diese Öffnung in der Gehäusewand schließt sich ein Schlitz an, dessen Verlauf der Bahn entspricht, die die Einstellspindel beim Drehen des Druckrades aus der Ruheposition in die Arbeitsposition beschreibt, und die lichte Weite dieses Schlitzes liegt zwischen dem reduzierten und dem nicht reduzierten Durchmesser der Einstellspindel. Durch diese Ausgestaltung wird erreicht, daß das Handetikettiergerät nur dann betätigt werden kann, wenn die Einstellspindel vollständig eingeschoben ist und nicht ihre herausgezogene Lage einnimmt, in der sie leicht beschädigt oder gar abgebrochen werden könnte.

摘要： A hand labeller having a plurality of rotatable print wheels with selectable print types disposed on the periphery of each print wheel and a selector spindle for positioning selected print types at a printing zone of the print wheels. The selector spindle includes a reduced diameter portion which engages and slides in an arcuate slot in the labeller housing if (a) the spindle is fully pushed into the print wheels and (b) the labeller is operated to rotate the print zone of the print wheels to a label printing position. If the spindle is not fully pushed in, a large diameter portion of the spindle will engage the arcuate slot, the latter portion being too large to enter the slot whereby the print zone of the print wheels is inhibited from rotation to the label printing position.

The platen assures there will be clear imprint by the types of the printing head, with all characters having an averaged density, even if there are discrepancies in the heights and orientations among the type surfaces of the printing head of the hand labeler. The platen includes an impression plate formed from an elastic member having a rough surface, onto which a continuous strip of labels is fed and against which the type surfaces are contacted through the label strip. The impression plate roughness may comprise multiple parallel corrugations or an array of a large number of projections, e.g. a checkerboard array. These projections may have any of square, pyramid, hexagonal and semispherical cross-sectional shapes.

摘要： The disclosure relates to a cartridge type supply device for use with a portable, one-hand-operable labeling machine of the type including a printing mechanism with printing types arranged for imprinting inscriptions on each of a series of labels traveling along a predetermined path through the machine toward a dispensing opening of the machine. The ink supply device comprises a cartridge holder pivotally supported at one end thereof within the labeling machine in a readily detachable manner and a replaceable inking roller cartridge supported detachably by the other end of said cartridge holder said cartridge including a rotatable inking roller. The cartridge holder is spring-biased to urge the inking roller onto surfaces of the printing types of the printing mechanism of the labeling machine. When the inking roller cartridge is used up, the cartridge holder can be taken out of the machine together with the used cartridge. A cartridge box for housing spare inking roller cartridges is provided.
