摘要： A keyboard for a typewriter, teleprinter, calculator and similar office machines comprises a series of keys, a series of setting elements selectable by the keys and a group of code bars. A setting spring moves a common setting member which positions the selected setting element on the trajectory of the code-bars. A bridge controls the code-bars and is positioned, through a cam, by a driven part of a starting clutch for a setting cycle. An intermediate member connects the common setting member with a releasing member of the starting clutch, and when the key is depressed, the intermediate member activates the starting clutch after a predetermined path of the setting member. A series of flexible laminae are flexed by the selected setting element and successively arrest temporarily the returning at rest of the selected setting element avoiding the beginning of a new setting cycle in the case a key is kept depressed.

摘要： In a miniature printer for printing with dots on printing paper, concentrically mounted driving cams provide both horizontal and vertical motions which synchronize the reciprocating action of the printing head mechanism with the paper feed and ink ribbon feed mechanism. Constant velocity linear motion is provided for the print head. The printing paper may be removed in either direction from the printer.

摘要： A printer including a printing head adapted for reciprocal displacement across a printing tape for effecting printing on the tape in at least one direction of reciprocation is provided. The printer includes a lever pivoted on a frame and adapted to reciprocate the printing head and a rotating disc engaged with a motor for driving the rotary disc which pivots the lever. The rotating disc is adapted to actuate a paper advance assembly, an ink-ribbon winding assembly and an ink-ribbon reversing assembly. The printing head may be of the type including a plurality of needles for recording dots by electromagnetic actuation of the needles.

摘要： A mechanism for actuating a universal bar of a typewriter from a continuously rotatable drive shaft comprises a principal lever cooperating with the universal bar and carrying a catch able to occupy an active position in the trajectory of a peripheral projection of the drive shaft and a rest position out of this trajectory. The principal lever additinally carries a locking lever cooperating with a control lever of the catch, the latter being connected to the control lever by a spring biasing them relative to one another into an angular position defined by abutments. A fixed stop is disposed in the path along which the control lever moves during an actuating movement of the principal lever in response to engagement of the catch by the projection. When the control lever abuts this stop, it returns to a position for locking the catch while the catch is still in engagement with said projection. Unlocking of the catch to move to its active position is provided by a slide rod having a shoulder for actuating the locking lever. The slide rod can have a second shoulder for permanently unlocking the catch to provide repeated operation of the universal bar.
