Depending on the wetsuit application, the density of the closed cell thermoplastic elastomer foam may vary. In many wetsuit applications low densities such as less than 0.25 grams/cubic centimeter and preferably 0.10 to 0.20 grams/cubic centimeter are desirable.

摘要： A method of making a foamed article comprises (a) milling a block or sheet of thermoplastic polymer to form a precursor; (b) crosslinking the thermoplastic polymer; (c) heating the precursor to a first temperature to soften the thermoplastic polymer; (d) infusing the thermoplastic polymer with at least one inert gas at a first pressure that is sufficient to cause the at least one inert gas to permeate into the softened thermoplastic polymer; and (e) while the thermoplastic polymer is softened, reducing the pressure to a second pressure below the first pressure to at least partially foam the precursor into a foamed article, wherein the foamed article is substantially the same shape as the precursor.

摘要： A manufacturing method of an eco friendly foam package material includes a raw material mixing step for mixing raw materials uniformly and thoroughly to form a mixed raw material, a raw material hybrid-melting step for performing a hybrid-melting process to form a hybrid-melted material, a particle forming step for performing the particle forming process by putting the hybrid-melted material into a pelletizer to form plastic particles, and a foam extrusion step. In the foam extrusion step the plastic particles are melted to become a gelatinous state material, and foamed with non-chemical method. Since the properties of the biodegradable polymer are changed by the decomposition enzyme, and further to mix with bio-cellulose and the industrial starch, such that the eco friendly foam package material with compostability is obtained.

The non-toxic thermoplastic resin pellets are mixed with additives and a blowing agent to produce thermoplastic elastomer closed-cell foam for use in wetsuits. Depending on the wetsuit application, the density of the thermoplastic elastomer foam may vary. 摘要： The invention relates to a process for producing a foam film laminate having at least one compact outer layer and at least one layer composed of extruded foamed polymer bound to the outer layer, wherein the production of the layer of foamed polymer is effected in such a way that a polymer material is admixed with a chemical blowing agent which is solid at room temperature and, during or after the extrusion, is heated up to or above the activation temperature of the blowing agent, in order to obtain the layer of foamed polymer, wherein the processes is characterized in that the polymer material contains 5% to 60% by weight of at least one HMS polyolefin having a in accordance with ISO 20965 (as at 15 Feb. 2005, measurement apparatus type A) of 104 to 107 Pa s measured at 190° C. within a range of Hencky strain rate of 0.01 s−1 to 1 s−1 at a Hencky strain of 3.0. The invention further relates to a polymer composition for the foam layer for performance of the process and to a multilayer polymer film produced by the process and to the use thereof.
